Whoever searches the books knows very well that the Trinity, divinity, and humanity are not present in them, and there is no mention of them or of Christ’s confession that he is God, God forbid. They are all interpretations of priests, as if God needs explanations for the basis of his divinity. In all religions there are differences, but the origin is clear with regard to God, except for Christianity. God. There are throughout history conflicts over his divinity and identity. Her and “a lot” relationships is kind of misleading. Yea she went out with a bunch of people, but if you follow the timeline of each and what she was doing (recording/touring/hosting) she spent very little time with most of them. Joe was the only “real” relationship she had. And he was never committed to it other than the “free milk and a cow” analogy!!

She really has not been in that many relationships. She dated like a normal teen and girl in her 20’s.
@npats5504 ай бұрын
@peterpanagopoulos6698 And you know this for sure how exactly? Do you know them personally? Did they speak to you about the issue? Is it obvious that she wanted that at 30? Or you just going by lyrics. Unless y'all have forgotten, "Champagne problems", on Evermore? About a guy proposing and the WOMAN, said no. Or "The only kind of girl they see, is a one night or a wife...damned if I don't give a damn what people say...no deal, that 1950's sh!t they want from me..."? Or "I broke his heart cos he was nice...he wanted comfortable I wanted that pain, he wanted a bride, I was making my own name, chasing that fame". You can find lyrics for and against the singer/songwriters intented. But we don't know what conversations are happening behind closed doors. And they are not obliged to let us know. Although she also said that the songs are very hyperbolic. Perhaps she means the marriage symbolism and references. Point is, we have one side of a story, by an unreliable author that everyone suddenly believes is about [___insert subject ___]. So it seems strange to me that people believe that every thing she does and says is 💯 true. Is she talented- extremely. Is she rich? Yes she's a billionaire. Has she herself said that she wanted to marry Joe specifically? Is she working with the Eras Tour, re recording, dating an NFL player, and still have time to collect a ton of awards, and drop a double album that will keep things go along nicely. Who knows. Or cares in the grand scheme of major current events.

Honestly as much as a lot of conservatives beat up on Taylor for focusing on immature relationships rather than marriage and children, and blaming men for her bad decisions, this whole album (+ the anthology) really goes against that. It's incredibly self-critical, continuously talking about her desire to be a wife and mother, her regrets about past relationships, including being a forever girlfriend and getting caught up with flings, and really puts the blame on herself. She's probably the most influential celebrity for young women and girls, and I think her making a whole album dedicated to her sadness about where her decisions have left her is actually a great message and warning. I was a little disappointed that Ben ripped this album just because he thought the title is pretentious, without acknowledging that the subject matter is actually culturally beneficial, much more than most female popstars, like Ariana Grande who just released an album about how getting a divorce was a great thing.

I think we also need to speak about the other end as well. I was in a situationship with a woman who wouldn't commit because of her work. I waited and was wanting to marry her, but she she told me she wouldn't say yes because her career was going to take her on the road anyday, to which she never has. She just continued dating me, and I held out hope that maybe she would have said yes, but after two years I finally said a prayer and felt like it was time to move on. I wept over the time I wasted on someone who I had hoped would be the mother of my children, and through that pain and sorrow I was able to move on. A month after I cut off that relationship I found my wife. We dated and got married. We couldn't be happier. My fault for trusting…. My five years, my 20’s gone. I hope it’s not too late for me. Any younger women reading this, please please don’t wait too long if marriage and kids is what you want… sometimes you have to let go even if you don’t want to. 😢

Wprd of warning to women (and men, too): If the person you're daring has reservations about marriage and commitment, dont shack up and play house thinking you're going to sow the seeds to change their mind. All you are doing is getting them comfortable so they wont ever want more. Without a ring, you are the live-in maid/cook/landscaper/fixer-upper who warms the sheets at night. If you ask your partner to marry you and they say, "Why would we want to ruin what we've got with a piece of paper?" RUN! To borrow a Gibbs Rule: Don't waste good.

I met my husband in May 2012, I was 26. After 3 months of dating, he told me that he didn’t want to get married or have kids. Seeing how his family dynamic was, I don’t blame the guy; lots of divorces and kids in the family with no discipline. I was on the fence, but everything just felt so right with him, I loved him and he was my first boyfriend. I told him I would agree to the terms and we could stay a couple as long as we were faithful to each other; he agreed. Then in December 2014 he asked me to marry him. In the 2 years we were together, I had unintentionally convinced him that he wanted to have me as his wife and have kids too. I never tried to change his mind, and he just suddenly dropped down with a bridal set ring set, and said he wanted marriage and kids. In July 2016 we were married. Now in 2024 we have three kids under three and been married 7.5 years. Still very happy and in love

We met right before Christmas of 2018, on our 1 year anniversary of being together he got me a promise ring saying he will always choose me and only me. We planned our wedding for almost 2 years and got married November 2023. Been together little over 5 years now. He knew how much I wanted to have my dream wedding and we made it happen. We still haven’t bought a house yet mainly due to the market and our financial situation, but we couldn’t me more happy. I also have 2 step kids and it feels amazing sharing the same name as them and my husband. I hope every girl finds a man that will cherish and love them like they deserve.

I met my husband at 27 (had one LT relationship at 17 until 22 and didn't date anyone again until my husband) and by 35 we were married with a house and two children and if we hadn't gone through the 2008 global financial crisis we would have been married long before that (bought our house at exactly the wrong time lol). We were both honest and upfront from the get-go and knew what we wanted and that we wanted it from each other. This is essential and it is very wrong for one or the other in the relationship to hide that they do not want that while also knowing the other one wants that and thinks you do to. We've been married for 14 years this month and together for 20 years this year
@michelleduncombe96755 ай бұрын
At the age of 30 I had been living with my boyfriend for 3 years. I gave him an ultimatum. He had 2 weeks to decide if he wanted to marrying me soon and have kids, or I was going to have to split because it was going to be harder to find someone else the older I got. Straight away he said he loved me and didn’t want to lose me. I have now been married for 24 years and have two amazing adult kids and my husband and I still love each other as much as we did then. It is a different love, because we have had to weather some storms along the way, but he is still my best friend, my confidante, and my rock, and we will be together until one of us dies. The way to get through life with one partner is to marry a friend and person that you just love to be around, then never try and change them, and just love and support them through all of life’s challenges.
@saltycat6625 ай бұрын
Only God should be your rock, not a man. Idk but your story brings up some red flags. I've seen women give a man who is dragging his feet an ultimatum and I think if you had to go that far, he's just keeping you for convenience. If he loved you as you claim, he would have done it on his own. He wouldn't have needed you to threaten him to do it. The length of a marriage means nothing, it's the quality. I know plenty of dysfunctional couples who have been together 20-30+ years while there's manipulation and cheating behind closed doors. No offense but you sound a little codependent and that's not a good thing.
@michelleduncombe96755 ай бұрын
No you have this all wrong. Not everyone believes in marriage. He would have just been happy living together, but he just didn’t know if he wanted children. He has been a beautiful honest loving partner to me all these years. No dysfunction at all. I am an atheist so it has nothing to do with God for me. Marriages after just two months don't usually work out, yours is a different case because you knew each other (for years) before dating. There’s never a perfect time to get married. Never a perfect time to have kids. People want to get this done or get that done or achieve this or achieve that before they do either one of those things. Change your mindset. Get married, if you want to, of course, and think of it as a partnership, will, you will both work towards goals. Not achieve a goal, and then get married. That’s how it used to be. I just want to point out that one of the main reasons why some men aren't sure about marriage is because it is literally stacked against our odds. And as for prenups, it SHOULD protect individual parties, but a judge can over rule the prenup.

I normally don't like Taylor Swift songs, but that song hit me hard. I just got out of a 17-month-relationship (which at my age is long enough to know if you want to marry someone), and I stayed longer than I wanted to because I thought that eventually he would propose to me (he was the one to end it and I'm glad that he did because I don't think he would've ever proposed to me). Anyways, the line of Taylor's song where she said that she was waiting at the altar for him...I felt that deeply. My ex would say that he wanted marriage and kids with me, so I would tell him that I was ready to take that next step with him. I was essentially "waiting at the altar" for him while he pulled me along, not caring about my feelings or desires. Now, I didn't waste 6/7 years of my life with him, but I'm annoyed that I wasted that time when I could've been with a man who actually wanted to propose to me.

People's fascination with celebrities is crazy to me, worrying about people who don't know you, nor care about you, just your money, is crazy to me! Celebrities are nothing more than distractions in the grand scheme of life! Y'all stay safe

I disagree. When we have pop culture phenoms that have integrity and values, who create art that spark conversation, it is really important to have those conversations. You can consume and talk about someone like Taylor Swift and it's actually a valuable experience. It helps us create and shape our social fabric, what connects us all.

The problem is that sometimes the girl doesn't believe when the guy tells them he doesn't want marriage. They think they can change the guy's mind if they work harder, dress better, etc etc.

My issue here is that we only hear Taylor's point of view and we're only here making assumptions based on only what Taylor is telling us with her songs. Considering the kind of past Taylor has with relationships, you gotta wonder why a guy doesn't want to marry someone like Taylor.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that Joe Alwyn didn’t like being with Taylor at her best. He met her when she was ostracised from the rest of the world, and after they got together, she stopped going on tours and events a lot. Once she felt ready to make a come back in the music industry, he didn’t want her anymore? IMO he had a saviour complex and from past relationships, it’s obvious Taylor has a victim complex. They were never meant to work out in the long term, but she sure thought so. Joe Alwyn was definitely closed off in their relationship, and that caused problems.

“We only hear Taylor’s point of view” ..right, bc it’s her album? lol.

No, actually, you really don’t have to wonder. Because you will never get even remotely close to her and is it none of your business. Hope this helps!

@@aliceinbookland1 people only want to know to understand her music bad, and if it’s for any reason other than that, you shouldn’t know. And Either way you shouldn’t be prying. She’ll let us know when she wants.

And you will never ever hear from him. Not when she was with him. Not after when they're broken up.

Married since 22 here. About to celebrate 24 years. I have friends who are my age. Friends who have girlfriends. Girlfriends they've told, explicitly... I'm not getting married. I don't want kids. Those girlfriends still stick around... for a long time. Just want to get it out there... women need to realize, guys aren't asking for more time in those situations. They're telling it straight. Both sides screw this up. Sometimes guys pussyfoot around and don't say it.... that's on them. Sometimes they say it outright... that's on the lady.
