This was by far the best and my favorite part of the whole production. As a ballerina myself, I thought it was AWSOME that she did the whole "Swan Lake" thing because it's my favorite ballet ever and I loved seeing her dance around in that tutu! I laughed so hard. To go on point in my dance school you have to do 20 rises on a rise board (Its on a slant) to get on pointe + you must be 12 + Our teacher has to say we are ready. Going on pointe is dangerous with little knowledge of ballet. Taylor looked good on pointe so I suppose shes done a bit of ballet?

I see the cheats. The flats of the shoes are hard and flat so all they have to do is get on their tip toes and they just dance. That's why Taylor was able to do the pointe or tip toe dance thingy really easily.

a. that's not cheating, it's called en pointe and a style of dance that is supposed to have that because you are still on the very tips of your toes under the shoe, its flat for turns and more stability b. pointe takes an incredible amount of work to become good at and is also a very painful process c. why don't you try and post a video en pointe doing the choreo that these ballerinas are doing?

Neposedi nope you can go on pointe without training. the reason they say not to though is because you run the risk of rolling your ankle or falling without proper technique. it will also be more painfull to do for long periods of time as the feet are not strong

At the end, Taylor running through the ballerinas was a wonder to see. I could not believe the ballerinas would stand there letting her do this. Each one had to have a total belief Taylor could do this without stepping on their feet or worse their ankles. A ballerina's feet, ankles and legs are their life in dancing. I know I would never do that, ever. That is what courage looks like simple form. In a sense of seeing this, people running in sports have this one-foot squares to go through for foot and balance. It is not easy to get right making a practice several times each week. Something I have not forgotten being over forty years.
