Makes me so mad that people took to social media and questioned who she was. Bitch she was the song queen of the 90s. You don't just listen to music from when you were born you understand the music that inspired people like swift.

Umm, I'm guessing that a good number of those moms are Gen-Xers and wouldn't mind hearing their daughters utter the f-word as they sang along. And even if they're the squeamish type, they were probably thinking, "Ok, fine, I'll let you swear just this one time (because it's Alanis)." 😆😄

No. The 80s and 90s were filled with trash music just like now, but enough time has passed that all the bad stuff has been forgotten, and only the good stuff gets remembered. That's why people seem to think older music is better, because they have forgotten all the trash.

+iloverock718 I guess that most of the audience doesn't know who she is. Taylor's public is really young, and most of them don't have that 90s thing in their veins. The same happened with Beck... or Lisa Kudrow, lot of people were like "who is that old hippie lady"? But I guess it's ok, those guests weren't for young audiences at all. Or at least not for teenagers that are only into post 2000 music.

+Alejandro Goldin Yeah I totally get it, just from 3:45 onwards there are a lot of placid people! I am a huge Taylor fan and love her music ... but I was 14 years old when Ms Morissette brought out Jagged Little Pill and man it defined my teenage years. She is an absolute legend in my eyes! Her music is still relevant today, if only the young ones would take the time to listen to it. I may have gotten a little carried away when I saw people just standing there! hahahaha. I guess in 20 years time some new artist might bring Taylor on stage and we'll see the same thing happen again.....!

+iloverock718 Alanis was performing in front of tens of thousands of fans that were singing right along and tens of thousands of new fans just now getting exposed to her great music with an endorsement from somebody they already love. The very definition of a "win, win" situation.

There is plenty of great music from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00''s and it will go on and on...we hope. All those decades have plenty to offer in what is really modern music. (Oh, sorry, but I don't think the 90's really tops the three prior decades for a depth of material, song writing, and variety. Another great decade, but not as great. Alanis wasn't the only "song queen of the 1990's. What about No Doubt, with Gwen Stefani? But she is great, and this is truly the grittiest and explicit breakup song ever. Fit for a "banned in Boston" prize. If I really think about it, there are others with the same amount of angst, just presented slightly more subtlety. In the category of really hanging out the dirty laundry for all to see and know exactly who the participants are has to go to the band No Doubt and "Don't Speak". Frankly, doing that song, in real time, with the band and the other band member you were in love with takes guts. Others, such as Carly Simon's, "You're So Vain" are almost as direct, and express plenty of anger, just a bit less dramatically. "Dreams" written by Stevie Nicks, is another real time jab at Lindsey Buckingham. Her message is basically, you're going to miss me you dirty bastard. For portrayed emotional grief, it would be hard to beat "Piece of My Heart" by Janis Joplin".

Alanis Morissette has a GREAT voice and Real talent... Taylor Swift is a music industry created pop star with a medicore voice. Atlanta Morissettes exceptional talent sold her records, the modern music industry mass media hype machine created a Image and brand called Talyor Swift and that sells records.. definitely not Taylors voice or perceived talent .... Taylor Swift a great example of the dumbing-down of people and of modern music.

I'm in love!!! Alanis is love, she is amazing, inspiring, she is everything!! My childhood would have been so different without her music to turn to. My mother listened to her when I was 4. We were going through a divorce where my step dad got custody of my three younger brothers... my first brother and I would scream sing You Learn whenever they got to be with us.. My mother remarried and my new step dad's sister was amazing. She was my instant bestie from the moment they got together. But when I was in 5th grade my late Aunt was left in a state to vegetation, by means of a comma that was caused by a car accident.. when I was in 8th grade she went to be with sing in the heavenly choir. I was devastated. A few months after her passing we were sorting through her stuff and they came across Jagged Little Pill in get CD collection... They brought it to me and I broke down. So thankful! I'd had know idea when got into the accident that she'd loved her too. I felt instantly re-bonded to not only Janna but also my mother, just by having the album in my possession. To this day Alanis is my go to karaoke, car AND shower music. I sing her songs Acapella daily and I can't imagine life without it. Would I even sing at all?!?? #doubtful 😅 Now my little Kala heart dreams of going to see her in Nashville this summer... And with that I'll be done now... A girl can dream! #ILoveAlanis #AlanisMorissette #AlanisIsLove #AlanisForLife PS I could make a post about TSwizzle over there too 😉 she's also, totally muh girl! 😘😍🤩

Anyone else notice how Taylor Swift bares a striking resemblance to Pat Benatar- except with blonde hair? It's not a twin sort of resemblance, but something I can't put my finger on that looks very alike about them.

I have never commented on videos before but can we have a little moment to acknowledge the hardcore fan girling Tay Tay is showing in this performance. She is literally losing her shit and crowd fan singing with the mic far away from her during the parts where Alanis was lead then it is as if Taylor remembers all of a sudden "shit, I'm performing too!! Lets do a little dance, bring the mic close ok, all good, omg omg omggggg". Then showtime face, singing then realising her idol was there on stage with her and losing her shit all over again 😂 Bless I love this. It is so evident and clear why Alanis was invited, seeing how Taylor is such an obvious huuuuge fan. Also Taylor did so well, this is not an easy one to pull off live.

It appeared a good portion of the crowd didn’t know who she is. Too bad. At least Taylor gave her plenty of respect. Happy to see that.
