because the song is about nothing in particular. it does not have the usual elements of pop/ heartbreak/ fancy bridges/ sassy lines that become easy to hum along or relate to. this song is more "sit in the dark by yourself and let the song envelope you" type. which makes it underrated.

Your right. I've just recently started to listen to her albums. I knew most of her songs from the radio. Didn't realize her whole album is awesome. Other singers might have a few good songs on their albums then just fillers. But Taylor goes all out on every song, her voice and lyrics, can't find one boring song anywhere. Ordered Reputation and 1989, can't wait to listen to those. Friends at work are big fans, I guess I will be one too. Amazing talent and lots more to come, she is still very young.

I JUST NOW pieced together that this song must have been inspired by her being a Sagittarius.......Symbol is a centaur with a bow and arrow. Wow.
@Cocolagaffe184 жыл бұрын
I honestly don’t think so, I believe it’s a metaphorical take on Cupid; she’s been a prey to love (so she fell victim to Cupid’s arrow) but also the archer, meaning the one shooting arrows and impacting others

There are those moments in life when you are just pulled in and transfixed on a singular thing. Nothing can draw your attention away. This is one of those moments. A truly deep and moving song only Taylor could deliver in such a way. I'm a 46 year old metalhead and I love this woman's music... and I love watching her live performances most of all. You can see the subtle and not so subtle changes in her attitude and the look on her face and tell she's really feeling what she's saying. She truly loves her fans and shows it
