The guitar is absolutely beautiful. When it comes to electric guitars, I don’t buy into the whole “tonewood” thing but I’m sure it’s a beast of an axe. Will have to get one sometime next year!

There’s an old video out on the T3 that shows how you can get an acoustic tone when you split the coils in the center position. Maybe you could do another video demonstration for that. Good job.

I had one of the original Taylor solid bodies. It was a wonderful guitar. I also had a t5z, but never bonded with it. I'd love to have a t3. Glad to see they're still making them

I have a t3b I got from a good buddy and over time it became one of my favorite guitars. Mine has mini New York style humbuckers and a five way switch on the top non-horn side. It’s a beast for a range of tones which makes it great for looping

Thanks for reminding that I want one of these guitars. I've always been a fan. One thing I noticed is that it has only 21 frets and doesn't have the ease of reach to the high frets that an ES-335 has. Still a nice guitar.

Had a T3B for a few years..an excellent guitar for many different types of music. Ive got the HD in the neck position and the alnico in the bridge which Ive found to be the most versatile

Cooper's preferred electric guitar until Taylor comes out with... (They talk about it within the employee-owned company.) Thanks for an enlightening analysis, so now, I'll have to suggest that Andy Lund play his segment intros with a T3 on a Taylor Guitars Primetime episode. Wow!

bro i absolutely lose my shit when i see people just shred non stop when you are trying to listen to how a guitar sounds. like i am trying to listen to it's sonic qualities, that is drawn out chords and maybe seeing how it responds to a nice reverb pedal with some arpeggios. Just something for the future i suppose cause i have seen the same sentiment

In my opinion the only thing that sucked about this guitar is the fact they made a mash up of a T3B and a T5 (2 outputs outs on the same body) but only made it for Israel Houghton. I get he’s a Taylor artist but I called and was willing to pay the price for a guitar just like that. Search it up. Any time you see Israel houghton playing his T3B he has 2 outs on the guitar. It sound absolutely MAD.

Great guitar, my only complaint was the upper fret access was terrible. From fret 1 to 12 great but almost unusable past. Probably why they aren’t big sellers.
@joebwannabe2 жыл бұрын
I have one of these and that's literally my only gripe with it. Soloing past the 12th fret is a challenge. That said, I love this guitar like a family member.
@cchavez2483 жыл бұрын
Just my two cents. I think the momentum for the T3 was dulled because most players wanted to love the T5 for a guitar with really strong electroacoustic performance with a tip if the hat to electric sounds but were disappointed with both aspects on the T5. Then, along comes the T3 that, at a quick glance, looks like the little, budget brother to the T5! After being disappointed with the T5, many players probably didn't even ask to try the T3. I maybe wrong, but I am pretty sure, for many potential buyers, this was probably the case!

Because it makes no sense in paying 2K for a laminated top with a veneer... You must be crazy to do that, or really love the logo, IMHO.

@josearaujo86163 жыл бұрын
@@cchavez248 IMHO, its very hard to justify the price on hollow body guitars made of plywood and veneer tops. Its all in the logo, so if you are willing to pay 2-3k for a guitar you buy gibson, if not there are plenty of same quality guitars for half the price.
@cchavez2483 жыл бұрын
@@josearaujo8616 Ahh, I see your point. To be honest, electric guitars with laminate bodies are fine, sound wise but I do wish that their price would, more closely, represent their materials. In the case of a Gibson, at least if you buy a high-end 335, 345, or 355, the resale value will go up, despite the guitar's being a laminate construction!

It’s cool, but the fanboy faithful will never get one cos they’re only about that ES-335 life. Or whatever other semi-hollow they’re into, thinlines come to mind too.

Laminated maple top for more than 2K?
@AlamoMusic3 жыл бұрын
Most semi-hollow body guitars are laminate. ES-335 guitars have always been laminate and cost $3000. Archtop guitars with solidly carved tops are a different beast and the designs follow function. - Chris
@josearaujo86163 жыл бұрын
@@AlamoMusic I knew that gibsons are also laminated with veneer. Even solid back and sides archtops use veneer wich is significant and telling.
