I remember seeing this advertised last year. Moxie was originally aimed at chilren with ASD. It was advertised to aid in ABA therapy, but of course this would be limited. One of the problems is that this would have to be approved by health insurance, and information on Moxie was limited. Just the website, maybe a video, but there was no hard evidence demonstrating how Moxie would be conducive to a child with ASD, and their learning. I guess that trying to break Moxie in as a child's therapy tool was too many hoops to jump through, so they rebranded it as an 800.00 interactive companion.

2:35 - if you pay $800 for a device, it better damn well be able to run regardless of whether the company is around or not - it shouldn't even need to be connected to the Internet unless updates are necessary. What complete and utter bullshit. If I was one of the parents who bought this, I'd be beyond livid. The most common preprogrammed responses (even hundreds of thousands of them) can easily be kept on a one-terabyte card in case there's no internet connection with which to speak to the A.I. server. For God's sake, it shouldn't be hard.
@jv-lk7bc19 күн бұрын
If I was one of the parents who bought this, I'd be beyond embarassed that I didn't think about that before I shelled out 800$, and make my purchases accordingly.
