TIP TO HELP YOU OUT: this was a life saver for me. You can put your pump parts in the fridge so that you don’t have to wash them every single time. I definitely would only do that like once a day so that would be super helpful for you in the night. My lactation counselor told me this and just like you’re saving her milk in the fridge, storing the pump parts in the fridge prevents any bacteria from growing on them and keeps them good as well 😊

I did this same thing 30 years ago! I also put her bottles in the fridge in the night so I didn't have to wash them in the middle of the night

@@jasminemarie4442most of these young people don't realize that's what happening. People this age grew up in the generation of social media and mainstream media/ Hollywood, they don't view it the same as others and don't realize the true evils of this world. They don't realize there's monsters out there and millions of them that love and profit off of videos/images of children posted online. I truly think some are just naive.

I found that with diaper rash it helps to make sure you completely dry the bottom off before you put the diaper back on even if you use baby wipes. Also, you can buy wash cloths that you can use warm water and gently kind of pat so you don’t rub too hard on their soft skin. Bathe the baby every day until rash is gone then every other day. Babies sweat in the sleepers even when they can’t crawl yet. Then you can use a barrier cream like Desitin. Hope that helps.

Love y’all’s attitude! Best parents ever. She had a taste of the fast flowing and minimal energy bottle so she is now refusing any from you, but slowly you can reincorporate you feeding her instead, probably through slower feeding bottles so she gets used to having to work a bit and won’t feel the difference when you try it with you afterwards!

You are both amazing. I do want to give a warning. Doctors told me the same thing. She wasn't big enough and my wife had to pump. She doesn't like to talk about it, but her supply dropped very quickly not doing feedings from the breast every time. She made it to 6 months and was incredibly proud, but also extremely sad. She still is a year later. Every women's body is different. I am not here to dictate yours. I just want to warm every mom to watch her supply, so she isn't done breastfeeding before she is ready to stop. It can cause really bad post partum depression. Baby will ALWAYS pick bottle because it flows faster and easier. The longer she prefers that, the less likely she will breastfeed again. God be with you all ❤ Beautiful family 😊

I just love your channel.❣️❣️🩷 you both are so positive and upbeat and sweet to your baby and each other and it’s obvious that you love each other very much and it just reminds me of the first five years of my marriage and how we were totally into each other and our new son, when he came along in our fourth and a half years of marriage .. great memories and you guys are definitely making wonderful memories. I appreciated the time you took to make this video because as is so apparent, your day and night are full even if she is a wonderfully good baby. There’s just things you have to do. I remember being shocked me how much dirty laundry I would have from a tiny baby that first month!! I love your wonderful sense of humor, and how you play off of each other’s humor and comments… I love your story time with your baby girl and that you BOTH read to her. When my first son was born, Johnson and Johnson had wonderful books and toys that were scientifically designed after thousands and thousands of test on babies. One of the things I remembered and have gifted many times to new parents, is that newborn babies up to a certain Age of a few months only see black and white. We purchased there 12 inch bumper pads that you could Velcro or tie into your crib so that when they were laying in their bed they could look around and see those black-and-white photos. I believe red is the next color that they see if my memory serves me correctly but they also had this rattle that was not really a rattle that made noise but each end was yellow and soft rubbery for the baby to chew on and the center part was clear and it had a oil type Merc on the inside of the clear to, and there was a red round bead or ball, no bigger than a half an inch, at the most, and it would roll very slowly when you tipped the rattle and a slight angle down your upwards. It taught the baby to track that red ball. I had one of those for all three of my children and they loved it. I don’t know if you can still get those but Johnson Johnson had, wonderful, educational and interactive toys when my children were born. I can tell that you guys have done your research in getting the black-and-white book but I love your humor Taylor when you say that she can say all of the words of the animals in the book already. We do think our child is the smartest of everyone else’s, She sure is a pretty girl❣️❣️😊🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 Last, I almost hesitate to say anything on this subject at all, because there are so many emotions and hormones involved with new mommies (and daddy’s, somewhat too)…. but I read the comment of a very first person regarding breast-feeding and pumping, etc. and she cautioned you to be careful about it because she had been told to pump and then the next thing you know she had no milk for her baby. That is not unusual and I’ve heard of that many women and I experienced that with my second child when they were complications in the delivery and I ended up having to have a blood transfusion due to major air on the part of the doctor/OB/GYN. Anyway, I’m very much wanted to nurse him just like I did my first child. and I was very unhappy that I did not even get a hold of him until day three and by then he’d already been given bottle not to nurse… He would suck on a little bit and fall asleep and I’d have to keep waking him up and I ended up getting extremely engorged and of course things were different back then and they kept me in the hospital for 10 to 12 days because I ended up having a C-section and the complications. But they would not let me pump , so that he could have my milk in the bottle. They said the machines were kept for neonatal parents only, and I felt rather outraged by the lack of care and concern for my child when we were victims to what the doctor had done. Anyway, getting past all of that, I became so engorged that I ended up with mastitis, and I had to take antibiotics to dry my milk up and I cried and he cried and it was terrible. 😂!!!!! Now, just forget all of that and this is what I want you to know that’s important. Listen to the little red flag warnings that go off in your mind when a doctor tells you something and it doesn’t seem right for you or your baby; doctors are human they make mistakes and they’re giving you their best educated information but it doesn’t mean it’s going to fit the plan that you have for your child. Don’t be afraid to get a second opinion or a different doctor if there becomes enough red flags that you and your pediatrician are not in agreement on major issues. Also, you’ll get a lot of advice from a lot of people, will intended women. I don’t know why they feel they have to tell you their horror stories and stuff or make you feel like you have to compete, but Jesus didn’t ask us to compete with one another. He just asked us to be loving and kind of one another and when someone starts making you feel like their babies always better or they always know more or they make you just feel bad in general. You have to set boundaries because this is the most important time for you and your husband and that’s what I would rather say to you. Trust your gut instinct and you guys are doing a wonderful job. I can tell already and tell her you love her 10 times a day or more and say her name so she learns it quickly and always be gentle when you have to talk to her about something that she may have done wrong as she gets older. God bless you both and I will be praying for this time that you don’t feel too exhausted from lack of sleep because it goes fast and next thing you know she’s going to prom and graduating from high school and you’re thinking what I wouldn’t give to hold that tiny little girl in my arms again even if she was fussing❣️❣️ it’s a real pleasure to watch your videos and get to know the two of you/oops, the three of you😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hey, y’all! Just wanted to offer up a little tip about the diaper rash situation. My daughter is just under 3 months old and our pediatrician recommended using baby aquaphor. We’ve been putting it on her booty after every diaper change since she was born. It helps create a protective barrier between her skin and the diaper contents. But she’s never had diaper rash. She is even drinking a hypoallergenic formula, which makes her poops more acidic, so she’s more prone to diaper rash. The stuff works great! Wishing you guys the best ❤️

TIP FOR FEEDING! Look up paced bottle feeding on youtube and use that when bottle feeding. It’s a “slower” flow which mimics the flow of milk when breastfeeding. Most babies prefer fast flow because it’s easier which could be why she’s not wanting to nurse as much. Offer the breast first before every feeding to help that transition back 🥰 Thanks for sharing part of your life with us ❤

I just finished the video , you guys are doing amazing and you can just see the love !!!! Another breastfeeding tip if at least every feeding you should do breast first for a timed time if you would like and then maybe giver her 1 or 2 ounces in a bottle.. because the bottle is different then your actual breast. The only reason im saying this is if you want to continue breastfeeding you have to keep it apart of her feeding schedule and offer the breast first . I know they said she lost weight but i promise you will know when she lost to much weight, its extremely normal in the beginning. Look how much your pump. You can feel in your breast if she got milk . And i know she may scream her head off when bringing the breast back but its normal..first pray and set the tone . Get relaxed and trust yourself . Its hard work but so worth it ..the memories i have and the time spent with my sons i will forever cherish ..dont be discouraged..and if you can talk to a lactation consultant or a mid wife that would be amazing. Theres tons of groups on fb and those woman will support you and guide you every step of the way ..but please offer breast each day ..because the bottle is way faster and different and she will get use to it ..but that doesnt mean you cant keep trying ❤❤❤❤

I agree with you 100%! Doctors and whatnot don’t get this. On demand is important. I’m 36 and my oldest will be 7 and it’s always been on demand. Our bodies know what our children need. I have 3 children. Who never took a bottle, I’ve tandem fed my oldest and middle then my middle now with my baby…

@Jaxk06 same here. They always scare Mom's and say oh your baby is drops some pounds ...ITS NORMAL..they scared her into bottle feeding to measure ..LOOK HOW MUCH MILK SHE PUMPED OUT . SHE DEFINITELY HAS MILK. and I'm sure the baby is giving her a hard time now on the breast but if she pushes past it the baby will latch again ..the bottle is fast and available...I pray to God Sophia breastfeeds again exclusively and gets to have that experience because I know she wants it . And I pray she meets someone with the knowledge. It's her first baby and all she wants to do is do right by her..but they scared her off BF and it's not fair ..

A tip I learned for baby #2 with the pumps. If you know you’re going to pump again in a few hours you can put the pump parts in the fridge and it’ll keep the left over milk safe for consumption. A bit cold to use so I’d take it out like 20 mins before using or warm it up a bit with your arms or towel.

A few helpful tips! -btw you're amazing and doing so stinkin wonderful! I have the willow go as well, and having backup parts is life changing! A little less time in the sink washing :) Also, as you get farther along postpartum, you'll wanna also have a stationary wall pump, like a spectra, or medela, whatever it is, those handsfree portable pumps aren't good for exclusive pumping. You'll wanna use one of those wall pumps at least 1 or 2x a day in conjunction with the handsfree! Just so you dont lose milk supply as time goes on! And with the willow go, they have a pump bra in their brand, and the kindred bravely bras are wonderful and supportive to hold those willows in place perfectly :) also, just to help with supply staying strong, pumping Everytime she feeds, to mimick her nursing will help your body to know what it needs! If you're exclusively pumping, you'll likely need more than 4 pumps a day this early on. I hope this was helpful, Mommy's need all the love, support and knowledge, especially with breastfeeding 🥰-- all things i wish i knew right off the bat, vs several months into my journey! So happy for you and taylor, and you guys are such great parents! ❤️❤️❤️

Video ideas: whose more likely to ( new parents edition), cooking fav meals, family get togethers, holiday home decorations tour, 10 things you may not know about me ( both of you each making a video). By the way, you both are such loving sweet wonderful parents. You both are doing an amazing job.

The best concoction I had for diaper rash/yeast with both my babies is an equal mixture of Boudreaux Butt paste original/vagisil in a small container to store and then sprinkle on top of area with corn starch-life saver and heals overnight! She’s absolutely precious and I’m so happy for y’all!

I love you guys and your videos! One video idea that I know I’ve found super helpful are the “thing we actually use as first time parents vs stuff that we bought/ were gifted but don’t use”. Lol that’s way too long of a title but that would be like the gist of it

Can you do a video about what you used in your hospital bag/what you didn’t use or things you wish you brought that you didn’t or things that weren’t necessary (not needed). I just see so many video about what people take to the hospital but no one ever does a after the hospital what really ends up being useful or not.

I found using cotton ball and warm wate on bum changes instead of wipes really help with nappy rash and air time and changing bum regularly even if she done nothing
