That’s why you see a lot of doom and gloom titles and I was suspended type videos. Nice very informative. I'm still pretty big fan of ebay app locking it in to solds, sell similar and input the photos. I used to have to transfer photos and it was a pain. Lately I've noticed my backgrounds have been little dark when I turn down the brightness when taking photos to get better jean colors without fading. I edit it on ebay on my laptop it lets me just turn up the background brightness without bothering the item but its extra step.

Once you learn what sells (Thrift items to look for and list) #1 shoes sneakers and dress shoes , and boots bring $30-$100 #2 Mens jeans $30-$80 #3 Wms jeans, mens/wmns polos & button up shirts $14-$25 Always keep an eye for vntg and jackets Electronics bring good money but your asking for trouble( pain in the butt to ship + high return rate ) Theres no reason you cant spend 2 hrs in one decent thrift and go home list for 2 hrs and make 6 figures in sales a year.

I like to put the size in with the actual measurements and then put the tag size in perenties, example 38x32 (Tag 40x34) and if its actually been altered, I will write "Hemmed" in the title too. If only the inseam is off, and by 1 inch or less, they I just put the tag size in the title and write in the comments that the inseams measures closer to 31 inches versus the tag size of 32 or something like that.

Did you notice a difference in clicks converting to sales or returns or both? I'm a fairly new seller and I love jeans but also hate them because the returns are the worst. It's not even about putting the right information but how do we put it so that people actually see it? This may be the best way, but also uses up the most character space in the listing. Considering how lazy people are and how small their attention spans are for reading or looking past 1-2 photos it may be well worth the trade off though. I feel like I flip flop all the time how I list jeans and honestly I've wasted so much time researching instead of just listing already I have piles of them in my garage sometimes just avoiding them. And I have such good stuff out there from Ariat, Cinch, Miss Me, Silver, Judy Blue, Mother and I'm just terrified of returns. They bum me out lol

Just wanted to say I left that comment earlier about this mishap with my wrong listings. Spent time changing the listings to how u do them and measuring and MAN! lots of sales now such a freaking change you are awesome. I also changed my listing process to be like yours instead of just doing on the phone. While it is sm faster, I’m having a problem where when I drag the photos they are out of order. Not a big deal but if I can save 2-3 seconds by fixing this eventually it’ll add up. Any tips for solving this? Seems to happen every time.

I like to show the hip in the same pictures as the waist. You just place a second ruler or tape where the fly ends. Harder to do on tapered jeans but i think it helps make sales.

If you put in the an ebays item description disclosing the flaws or stains and included them in the photos and the buyer reports item not as described or tries to return it claiming they didnt know it had stains will ebay defend you or are you responsible to refund the buyer?

I do have some photos that are dim in this set up. I have a new photo set up in my office/buy sell trade store that does much better because of natural light. I’d suggest being close to a window or just using as many daylight bulbs as possible. The item is what is most important. I sold around 180k on this set up and my much worse one before this I still did over 100k in sales. Really just depends on what items you are posting.

This has been the bane of my existence on eBay. I've seen the way you do it, I follow Andy Greenslitt and Carrie Resells among other big denim sellers. Everyone lists just a little different and I'm always back and forth on how I want to do it. I just got a return yesterday because I featured the actual measurement in the listing so of course the buyer took a picture of the tag and said I put the wrong size and also lied saying I didn't have a photo of the measurement. Then I can also see the argument for featuring the Tag size in the listing and like you do put the actual in ( ) or in the description like Carrie Resells does it but I wonder how often a customer will find it in the search based on the Tag size but then click out of the listing when they see that the actual measurements won't fit them. Is there really any best method that has no downside? People are too lazy to even look at the photos or read the descriptions we put... And eBay really holds them to no personal responsibility with their buying. Just return and lie for a full refund.

Their is no 100% best way. I know right now I could try on 10 jeans in a store and not be sure which one fits right. It's just the downside of selling clothes online. However the method I show has been the best method so far for me. I've tried it a number of different ways and this is the best I've found!

This is good. Question, why photo the measurements? Ebay wants you to put the actual measurements in the description and item details (especially item details). Seems like overkill, I get if your not adding them into item description (safes time maybe) but now ebay has broadened their search parameters you need to add them into the details of the item anyway.

Although, that was when I was heavy in women’s jeans which tends to have more returns then men’s. I’ve seen a big improvement when I add all these steps but that’s just from my experience.

I just gave up on why people make returns because ebay will support them anyways....Like, "I'm returning this because it was windy today" and ebay is like yep...accepted. However, if it's in the item details and they still return it then you can charge them the cost of the labels for the return and ebay will support you and remove any negative feedback. I think (my opinion), for returns that words are better than photos.

But your right if you are cool eBay they will back you a lot times if the buyer is getting angry. Just have to refund the price of the item. Taking measurements in the photos makes listings faster. You don't have to correlate handwritten measurements to your photos, you can see that information in your own pictures. Additionally, lots of customers don't bother to read the listing, they just look at the pictures.

Why do you think Ebay has listed the number, in thousands besides certain item specifics?
