Toby recently gave a positive update about his cancer treatments which is awesome. He is a master of switching between patriotic somber songs and fuuny entertaining ones. I hate shopping and I'm my own pack horse so I guess I go against the grain.😂😂 He's definitely one of my favorite country artists!

Based on what you said, I think you could be related to my husband! 🤣 He is not a talker. He listens and observes. The man is smart, he learns and knows so much from the way he does things. He can read some people like a book. We just celebrated 43 years of marriage. Shopping together? Um, no….not if I can help it. He will take me shopping if we are traveling and tells me to take my time (and I know that he means it)…..BUT, because I know how much he hates shopping I feel that I have to rush, I don’t like to keep him waiting. Although he is very quiet, the man can talk if someone engages him in conversation and it’s something that he’s interested in. I think the man would be content in a cave on the side of a mountain….as long as he had a computer, books and food, of course.

You had me cracking up talking about your wife. I can relate as my ex was similar and always talked a lot. 😂 But then i have a narcissistic brother who talks about how great he is and can do everything better than anyone else😮. Im like you, that I prefer the quiet most days. 😊❤ Another great Toby Keith song. Prayers and healing that he is on the mend and beats that old cancer.❤

I have a similar situation.... Aside from the fact that in relationships I'm usually the one that likes to talk the most.... My mom's side of the family never shuts up and it doesn't matter what they're talking about. But my brother I wouldn't say that he's a narcissist and he's right about everything. But he does think that he's right about everything it's the narcissism thing that I'm not so sure about. He seems to have kind of a low opinion of himself I think. But that's also why he does it if you touch a topic that he knows about he will never shut up because he finally has something to talk about that he knows as much as everybody else does on it's just his personality. So he doesn't claim that he knows everything about it but he talks about it so much it really comes across as if he's trying to make you think that.
@judydavis7993 Жыл бұрын
@natecloe8535 Oh my brother will tell you he knows everything there is to know about any subject because he reads. I've never seen him pick up a book, let alone read one. He can't use electronic devices, so there is no information there. He listens to a lot of talk radio programs, which I don't think is a reliable source. He never misses a chance to tell you how much better looking he is than anyone else. I always say to him," Not everyone can be as naturally beautiful as you are." But he's my brother, and I love him. Besides, I have to be nice to him, my mom said so.😂😂😂

Toby has a great sense of humor! Be sure you listen to his song “down in the trailer hood! You should also listen to a short presentation called the difference between men’s brains versus women’s brains… Given by Pastor Mark Gungor at a couples retreat! You would think he was a standup comedian… It’s worth listening to….SO, SO FUNNY! & true! Nice reaction!!

I hear songs like this and others like "How do you like me now?" "If I was Jesus" "As Good as I once was" and many others and it instantly takes me back to my childhood. I remember my first concert ever was Toby Keith at the Mississippi Coliseum in 2004, I was 5 years old.. The stage starts spinning and all you see is a tinted out Ford truck, then after about a minute you just see that truck door sling open and out comes Toby.. Absolutely epic and one of the greatest moments of my life.

I remember when this came out and it started a big fuss at a cookout because all the fellas were like, "THIS!" and the gals got offended. All the guys except my husband. He laughed and said, "Not my wife! She talks about important stuff like politics, whether the NFL overtime rules should be more like the NCAA's, if the Orioles are ever gonna get out their slump, should the WNBA 3 point line be out where the men's is, and when does bow season start." Needless to say, none of the women spoke to me for weeks! Which was fine, be cause I'd rather being sitting with the fellas talk about the "important stuff."

There's good and bad to every situation but my life growing up made this particular situation not so bad for me. My dad can sit down and have a conversation with absolutely anybody no matter where he's at or what he's doing. But aside from that he doesn't really talk all that much he likes to listen. And he had a job that kept him on the road Monday through Thursday of every week. So the majority of my life I was under the supervision of my mom. And not just my mother but both of her sisters her brother her mother and her father could talk the devil into lighting himself on fire. They never shut up when they are together. And 3 times a week my mom would spend 2 hours on the phone talking to 1 of them. So I can sit and discuss absolutely nothing of importance until I'm blue in the face and I won't get bored with it. It's so bad that I Honestly believe I've had more than one girlfriend that got annoyed with how much I MYSELF like to talk. If you needed any more proof check out my comment history I ramble .......on and on....a LOT lol.

I wonder if most women love shopping because in caveman days they would be the gatherers, searching for and picking berries, etc. Finding something good would be exciting. Then again, it could just be socialization.
