The lack of a 4th gear is the 5R110 doing its thing does a 3-5 shift and you dont use 4th unless under 32°. And the gearing if the axles are oem you can check the axle on the door sticker and google it. 1800rpm is peak torque for the cummins vs ford is around 2100rpm.
@dsruddell4 жыл бұрын
thats the one problem with fummins swaps. the v8 engines rev higher naturally. i feel any cummins truck that isnt lifted should be running 3.55-3.73 gears. your truck probably has 4.10s and thats why its doing 2k. youll start sucking fuel at 2k. cummins loves to cruise 1600-1800rpm. fords usually have 3.73 or 4.10s (excluding f450+) i personally think lifted duallys are useless. when you tow youll end up rubbing the rear duals together and blow them. i forget how tall 19.5s are but you may be able to swap those on and lose some revs on the freeway. i honestly wouldnt run 19.5s because of how rough they ride but i live in california our roads are HORRIBLE. your roads look better. i also like your year with the older dually bed fenders.

Taylor, you can thank me later for this cheat code. Turn the key on seatbelt off engine off with parking brake set. When the seatbelt light turns off after a minute plug in and unplug your seatbelt 3 times. When you plug it in the 4th time, it will flash. When the seatbelt light stops flashing, turn the key off. This disables the seatbelt chime. Repeat the process for the passenger seat. If I missed a step, check out KZbin videos on seatbelt chime delete for ford. Obviously, always wear your seatbelt on the road. Mainly, it helps for cruising around your property at slow speeds. Congratulations on the first drive. I would love a cummins swapped ford.

@jaredanthony80704 жыл бұрын

Did he ever torque down the cab bolts? I remember him saying he was putting that off until he was final on the drivetrain, etc., but can't remember him saying he did it. Could that be a possible source of a highway speed death wobble?

No one ever rode in the passenger seat so I never could find what the noise was until I put some weight in the seat one day. With the weight, the noise stopped and pointed me in the right direction.
