There are tons of channels that don't have the subscribers they deserve. Another great example is Sarah-N-Tuned. She does awesome projects, is meticulous, yet doesn't have near the subscribers she should. Unfortunately there are tons of auto channels that "build" or do projects that never get done, get half done, or never work - cause it is just a cycle of hype and clickbait. Luckily, even if underappreciated - there are really good channels to offset the bad ones.
@Taylordrifts2 жыл бұрын
@@theangrymarmot8336 it is tough not to fall into that trap. People generally want to see the 90% of the build. Not the last 10% which I personally enjoy doing. And they want to see builds done quick. But fortunately it seems as though the people that watch my content enjoy the details. And seeing the work. So I just stay true to me and what I want to do/build.
@theangrymarmot83362 жыл бұрын
@@Taylordrifts I would be willing to bet you "staying true" has two consequences. I bet your subscriber retention is much higher, and your audience is more mechanically / detail competent than the "half ass build in two videos" youtube creator. I have been building customs / hot-rods / race cars professionally at a high level for two decades and there are only a handful of channels that I watch that don't drive me absolutely nuts with half-assery and poor workmanship. Keep doing you, the 10% you show that the others do not is what makes this so nice to watch, and you being genuine is a great thing in an industry/culture that has so many phonies and wannabes!

Hint for making the middle pie, wrap paper or thin card around both parts and find the edge with a pencil through the card (trace). Unwrap, cut and you have a template to cut the perfect size and shape pie making for a much cleaner finish. Too late now for this but might be handy in the future

An old trick for the remainder section is to take some paper and wrap it around. Then take an unwrapped crayon and use the side of it to sort of "trace" around the edges of the two pieces to section together. Now you have a perfect template for your little pie cut piece!

Hot tip for that little piece you made for the exhaust. You can put a flashlight in the exhaust pipe to illuminate it, and then wrap a piece of paper all the way. around that gap. Great Progress, Taylor. One suggestion on driveshaft installation for the future. apply assembly lube to the outside of the end that goes into the output of the t56 so the rear seal doesn't get accidentally damaged pushing the driveshaft snout past it. also - did you verify the driveshaft engagement into the transmission. should be 3/4" static so it has some leeway for travel.

Also have you tried using tacking bands? I use them doing good grade stainless pipe fitting and welding. Basically a strip of steel that’s rolled to be the circumference of the pipe minus about 15 mm. With holes drills in it around the band so that you can tack the tubing together. Uses vice grips to clamp around the two ends and holds them together but still allows you to spin the pipe if you want. Food for thought

Also bud, I'm really digging on those wheels. They look alot like a Z32 polished wheel, but two piece...Man do I wish Honda would've released an inline six. I LOVE my J series V6s, and I made 502 whp on a JDM J32A that I bought off of eBay for $700, a 2003 Acura CL Type-S six speed manual trans, an AEM 340 LPH fuel pump, custom made Injector Nation 1000cc injectors, custom made ARP head studs, a set of eBay turbo manifolds and downpipe (that had to be highly modified to fit), a GTS3582 dual ball bearing/billet compressor wheel turbo, an Invidia single in/dual out exhaust, a Tial Q50 BOV, and an eBay 44mm wastegate, all running on an AEM 30-6052 standalone in my 2001 Honda Accord sedan. It was fast and it surprised quite a few people, until a student driver pulled out RIGHT in front of me...Now I have a 2004 Acura TL (yeah, I know, I'm a truck driver but I love imports and I won't buy new cars, so I got this and my wife got a new Ford Escape Ecoboost AWD). However, I love turbo Hondas, including my 709 whp EJ8 Civic coupe, and I'm planning to turbocharge my 2004 TL with the same GTS3582 turbo or my Garrett GT3582R at low boost being tuned on Hondata FlashPro using some parts from the Accord, but the J32A3 has the exhaust manifolds cast into the heads, so I had to fabricate new manifolds and all, so hopefully what I've been breaking my butt on will work. I still have to have the 10an drain bung welded into the aluminum oil pan (because I've never TIG welded and I don't have a TIG welder), and install the injectors, the oil feed tee, drop the subframe and install the new welded pan, so on and so forth. Sorry for the novel, but you get the idea.

6:26 I think you could swap the two oil line positions on the oil cooler instead of making a whole new line. If you moved the bottom one to the top fitting on the cooler, it would give you that extra inch you need, and it looks like you could have the length in the other line for it to reach the bottom fitting. Maybe... Its hard to tell.
