How a 31 Year Old Built a Real Estate Empire in Nigeria is another episode of my promoting Africa series where I feature black entrepreneurs all across Africa who have built successful businesses and they tell us how they did it.
Today's episode is Mr. Nola Adetola who is a Nigerian entrepreneur who has built a successful Real Estate Development Business in Nigeria from all from nothing. He has also built one of the biggest real estate companies in Lagos, Nigeria. He tells us about how he was able to build his business in Lagos and some of the challenges he has faced on his entrepreneurial journey.

Am 6 minutes in and I must say this guy is one intelligent and success-driven man! Imagine never having to work for anyone in your life 🤓… Wow, it’s impressive. Let me keep watching. Kudos to our LIKE button sponsor 🤣 that’s funny Tayo.. but honestly, the forces we Africans fight against on the way to success is crazy. Imagine an individual constructing a road just to get his business going😢? Not to mention your fellow brothers stealing from you! He has defied all odds though and we wish him well. 🙏🏾

When ever I watch this videos and listen to people talking about Nigerian and all it's problems, it becomes clear to me that Africas are amazing, despite all the stumbling blocks we still manage to soar above the adversities. Tayo please, keep on telling these stories, with more and more coming to the lamb light , many more Africans will be inspired and together we will build an Africa we all would be proud of.

@@yoonlead Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others, as an investor, you should’ve known that by now, nothing beats experience and that’s final, personally I had to reach out to a market analyst for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to a million, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I’m buying again.

But then I continued watching, and the way the guy spoke and explained his journey in details. Omo!!! He won my heart... When I hear price of houses in Nigeria #600 million, #700 million etc I used to say to myself that I'll rather INVEST that amount in real estate here in Europe than pay that much in Nigeria. But then the guy just DEMYSTIFIED it when he talked about the challenges of putting some infrastructures in place before construction etc. I just weak.... Omo!!! That guy will go places.... He has it...I wasn't even done with the video and I just came straight to leave a comment. 👍🏿👍🏿 To you both... This is the kind of #MENTALITY most of our Youths need if we want a #Better Nigeria 🇳🇬

If you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions and and look outward, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. School is meant for workers/ employees not for the richest people . Find a problem , solve it & get paid . The more people your solution impacts the more money you make . Let’s read more books and have friends that are doing better than us ( ur network determines ur networth / u are the average of the 5 people you hang out with) . Government is not going to help us , anyone can become rich but not everyone will, life is a choice 👍😎

Also, easier to make money from the poor- ponzis, betting etc. I think it is probably easier to make money in Nigeria. Where there are alot of problems, there are opportunities to solve them, add value and make money. Consistency and grit are also very crucial to success. Also, are financial intelligence, emotional intelligence and relationships. You need to get the right team, too. Thanks!

I love his courage and vision. But his pains is what gets to me more. Having to put security personnels specially to protect a transformer, now that's crazy. It's shows a lot of decay in Nigeria. The people have really gone real down the hole through stealing and all sorts of ills. Instead of emulating guys like this, they rather choose the fast and dirty lane. Anyway, good to see people like him in Nigeria. 👍

I fully understand what the young man is saying about the realities of Nigeria, and him having to build roads and functional homes for people who would not otherwise have a way to acquire a home. I just hope though that these young entrepreneurs would make the utmost effort to set out more space for landscaping. You can not just pave the entire country and think that is cute. It is not just a quality of life issue but also a functional one. If you want to have water and cool down the temperature you have got to fit in green spaces, and lots of them. Otherwise you will just be building a country from brutes that will collapse.

I've learnt quite a lot this video. I can relate well with what he said about telling people that the owner of the company is overseas. Sometimes, people (grown ups) have this disdain when they see that you're very young and you're in real estate. So telling them you work for someone would probably put their mind at rest and focus on the business at hand.
