It is really sad Favour but I think you should not lose your hope of visiting Egypt. When hope dies everything dies. As a Zimbabwean lady 🇿🇼 first , I love travelling immensely but I am yet to visit Egypt and so many other countries in the 🌎. I would love to vlog like Tayo from nation to nation but I told myself, "Since I cannot yet vlog internationally, I shall vlog from my neighbourhood and the UK towns I visit when I am not working. Since I started vlogging I only went to Kenya 🇰🇪 and that one video I put up from there to date is the most viewed on my channel. So do not despise your little corner, the Egypts are coming if you will only believe!

I am from Europe and my husband is from Egypt. I would recommend to move around with a local, then you will not get scammed and also language barrier will not be there. For me positive things outweigh the negative ones and I will keep coming back to Egypt as often as I can. Nor hard feelings about people trying to earn from tourists, if i was put in same circumstances who knows how I would hustle and what I would do, so if I want to blame anyone then it is government that has put people in such situation in the first place. Egypt is amazing country, it will always have a special place in my heart!

Bro am an Egyptian and honestly that's the first vid i see from u and i actually loved the fact that u said it was the government restricting not the people cause its actually true. We had political issues within the country back in 2011, 2013. I wanna say that u honestly missed a lot in Cairo and in Egypt generally, what u visited is like a small percentage of a world that I want people to see. I know ur right bout the people asking for money and police restrictions (and am sorry for that), and u know, its gonna get better. Honestly i liked ur channel, and this video (specially that I've went to all this places) and keep on the good work, and finally hope u visit again.

And as Egyptian, there is no justification of that. the education level is almost 0, toxic environment, many people became scammers and scamming local and foreigner people, because the low income and the high taxes and and instead to help people the people of power trying to figure out some rules to steal us!. and making them fight each other for one egyptian pound. there's no real industry or even one silicon (SEMICONDUCTOR) factory exit in egypt to export a product at least to stabilize our currency. the chaos is ruling people with full of ignorance and slaves to each other they think they are right and everyone around is wrong and a traitor. i written this because this is the honest thing you can ever listen. if you asked most youth what is your dream they will tell you to immigrate. and finally the only thing we can do is "KOBRY".

I visited Egypt around a month ago, it was life-changing. I feel like if you want a solid opinion on Egypt you should also visit the less touristy spots like the White desert, in my opinion Egypt was a beautiful country, the "hassling" wasn't even that bad, and most of the time we ended up being friends with the ppl trying to sell stuff, I found it interesting how the kids wanted to take pictures with me. Definitely want to go back to visit the places I didn't go to like Siwa and Alexandria. I went for 10 days and visited Sharm, Dahab, Cairo, Luxor ,Hurghada and the white desert. Really a life changing experience. We stayed at low cost places and ate Koshari like 5 times hahaha. We met a lot of ppl who were around our age so in their early 20s even though im 18.

I have visited a few cities in Egypt and each of them blew my mind. It's the most diverse country I've ever been too. Cairo alone is divided into several sections based on historical events; Islamic Cairo, Greek Cairo, Coptic Cairo, Greek Cairo, etc.. You can be in downtown where the architecture is European and after a short drive arrive to the 5th Settlement where everything is modern and then another short trip to Giza Plateau where everything is ancient. Not to mention the longest river in the world! Egypt stole my heart

I have some friends over there in Cairo. It is incredible how much culture is preserved over there. With every single bit you have to realize how old that is. for me, a German living in Spain it is crazy to know that in my home country 3000 years ago the culture of my mother was huge while here in Spain totally different cultures existed. And in Egypt another high culture existed at the same time. Meaning that 3000 years ago so many cultures developed side by side. It is just amazing.

Thanks for visiting our country! Egypt is truly an incredible place, the history in Egypt alone can fill the history books for generations. It's often referred to as Umm Al-dunyah- the mother of the world in Arabic. Your experience is not a rare one my friend, it's a common one which has become prominent in recent times due to the political instability of the region. There have been 3 military coups since 2009, and the general population faces large amounts of poverty, lack of job security, and fear- planted in the hearts of Egyptians due to the current regime in power. Which is the reason why everyone will try to sell you anything, anywhere and everywhere. For them tourists perspective it's a turn off, to the locals it's the only way they can feed their families. It's not your fault, its the fault of the people in charge. To tell you one thing about Egyptians Tayo, our population runs off of hope haha. We've been let down sooo many times by our government that the only thing that keeps people positive is hope and their belief in god (That he will ease the burden on us and our brothers) Egypt will rise to prominence again god-willing, and the world will really know of our incredible people soon. Until then, we thank anyone and everyone who considers visiting us, and chooses to form their own opinion about our country and their people. You might want to visit other Egyptian cities like Alexandria where tourist harassing seems less prominent than in Cairo.

I visited Egypt in December, it was a life time experience. Yes people will try to hustle you at every opportunity, which is to be expected in any capital city especially if you go to down town. If you visit the uptown, Mall of Egypt or Arabia the places are amazing, the people are lovely and the shisha is good too. The place I would recommend to visit Hurgadah, very beautiful, relaxed, close to the Red Sea, lovely food places🤩.

I traveled to Egypt just recently - It was a very enlightening experience. I went with a big tour group and this is a good way to experience the country. However, I must say that your experience with the aggressive nature of the vendors in some spots and the beggars in others was very real. We experienced it at every historical site we went to including the Pyramids, Sphinx, Museums and Temples in Cairo, Ashwan, Luxor (The valley of the Kings) and other places. Mt Sinai was awesome though. That was an experience. Thanks for sharing your experience and have a great day.

The truth is that Nigeria is an ugly country and I am not saying so to deform the image of it, but Nigeria is truly ugly. And I've been to Nigeria and Egypt. Nigeria is ugly and so poor compared to Egypt, besides, Nigeria is full of disases and one of them is Malaria, so any visitor traveling to Nigeria has to take some medicine against Malaria before traveling there. Nigeria is not a good place to visit, no good roads, Nigerians live in huts and it's so ugly, that's WHY I'm so surprised to see a Nigerian defacing the image of another country and complaining about it. Nigeria is ugly and he should look at his country and talk about it first before uploading this kind of video... What's going on in this world? People coming from an ugly country deface the image of a beautiful place with a great history behind. Why don't they look at their ugly homeland 🇳🇬first?. He talks about flies? Loool, what about the mosquitoes transmitting Malaria in Nigeria???

Caïro is bit harder to explore than other places in Egypt I think, it's also very crowded that's why they are building a new capital city. I visited Egypt many times and really love it there, but I never really went to Cairo, would love to see the pyramids one day. Also if You want to try some of the traditional Egyptian foods here's a list: - Molokhiya - Kushary (pasta, with rice, with lentils and a saus) - Tamiya, the Egyptian version of falafel - bamya (Okra in tomato saus)

I have been to Egypt three times first on a boat trip and the other two times independently. The last two times l had personal help from an Egyptian family who l made friends with. They are Nubians and because of my interest in Egyptian history I am very happy to be their friend. As an African Caribbean woman living most of my life in UK I am not impressed with the way Black people are treated there especially those looking like me. No l am not being 'sensitive' l was definitely treated differently. On my first visit my friend and l went into a small shop and was given the "cold shoulder" so left. On the way back the shop door was locked when they spotted us. I am always very aware of the people circulating around and observed a different attitude towards people of a different hue. My experience began at the airport and my Nubian friends tells me about colourism and even the Tourist from Europe seem to think they can treat people of colour differently in their own country based on an encounter l had where l had to be very assertive with another Tourist too. It certainly does help greatly if you speak Arabic and l agree the flies are a big deal. woman living most of my life in UK and another of my issues is how women are treated. You need to be very assertive otherwise you are ignored. Unfortunately l don't choose to be a wallflower in Africa.

The corrupt government, the horrible military, the aggressive cops who are constantly on a power trip, the lack of order in the streets, the bad traffic, the poverty, the children who are forced to beg and harass visitors by their parents.. It’s hard to deny that it’s really bad in Egypt. I’m Egyptian and I recently visited the pyramids. It was a horrible experience! From getting lost and being misled to getting scammed by these people who have horses (don’t remember what they’re called).. It also smelled REALLY BAD.. there were feces EVERYWHERE! You had to watch out where you’re going or else you’d step on them🤢. There was an unbearable smell of horse/donkey fecal matter all around one of the pyramids.. there was garbage everywhere.. It was chaotic and stressful, I’m never going there ever again. I don’t blame foreigners for complaining and not wanting to go to Egypt again either. These things need to be called out in order for things to get better. We can’t just close our eyes and pretend that Egypt is perfect when it isn’t. It’s *far* from perfect and trying to compare it to other “less fortunate” countries doesn’t help the situation, you’re basically saying “others have it worse, it’s good here.” NO. It isn’t.

Africans being hostile to Africans in all its clarity is a prison-minded mentality. How we expect to develop as a continent I don't know. It's easier to network Europe once you're in there, but African no way. This thing is pretty strange. Kudos Tayo

Thank you for visiting Egypt, my friend. In terms of creating content, I have succeeded in presenting the wonderful tourist places. Although I am Egyptian and these scenes are familiar to me, I enjoyed them while watching them. But why do you look at the half-empty cup? What I saw of the negatives is known to every free scholar, but we as Egyptian Muslims We do not differentiate between those of color, white or black, for we are all brothers and we are all the same, although we love our brothers from Africa because we are from one continent, which is the brown continent... Greetings to you and thank you for coming

I was just there last week and had an amazing time. I didn't travel alone. I was with a group from New York. We had an amazing tour guide Hossam Bachandy who did a phenomenal job! We stayed in Cairo and then went to Sharm El Sheikh. It was an amazing experience and I would return tomorrow just not fly Egyptair!

@@aminaaminat8378 I got fed up with treating the country like a museum so l hired a guy to show me how he lived. He said no one asked for that before. We went to his favourite cafe, saw his old school which he told me about etc. I have done this in a few countries. It’s nice to see old things but also interesting to learn something of peoples lives. No one bothered us while l was with him

I went to Egypt and spent 14 days there, but I went with a tour group, so my experience was a little different than yours but I did encounter the children that beg (which literally made me cry), I went into the tombs and yes they are extremely hot and tight spaced, but it was worth it. My group started in Cairo went to the museum and then Pyramids, Camel ride etc. Then we cruised down the Nile starting in Cairo and visiting each temple ending at Karnak. I wandered around our ship and was invited to go down below deck where I saw armed guards on the lower deck. They were not visible unless you went below, I informed the rest of people in my group and they were shocked. Apparently there's a law (was then not sure it still exist) if you have a certain amount of Americans/Tourist you have armed guards. They were friendly but they were packing AK's so I definitely felt safe but a little shocked. Anyway I highly recommend Egypt.

Yes, there is still armed guards escorting tourists, not only americans. I was there in April, on a group of 20 people, and what you tell me about the cruise doesn't surprise me, if they are on each scale, it's because they also travel somewhere on the ship

Congrats on an unbiased and interesting recount of your visit. Especially appreciate how you gently point at shortcomings, which should be seriously taken into consideration by authorities. The camera hassle is due to some foreigners choose to portray only the dark side, showing slums and negative pictures only, so they were sometimes treated in paranoid fashion as you pointed out. BTW 300 pounds are about 10 US $ now. I hope your next visit will be more pleasant, try the red sea resorts, diving and other stuff. Big thank you from people of Egypt
