Tayor Swift Visits Shelby Huff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC

Shelby Huff got a special visitor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City ... Taylor Swift! Taylor was scheduled to be on the pediatric cancer floor for just 1 hour, but instead, she stayed for nearly 5 hours!
Shelby was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia in November 2012. She had a Bone Marrow Transplant October 31, 2013. In January 2014 she developed PTLD (Post Transplant Lymphoproliferative Disease) a form of Lymphoma and Von Willebrand Disease. She is currently at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC receiving a life saving Clinical Trial.
Taylors visit brightened the day for all the children here on the pediatric oncology floor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!

oh my god this makes me smile so big.. taylor stayed for five hours even though she was only supposed to be there from 3pm to 4pm, and that warms my heart. she's not doing this for the cameras or attention which is why she didn't even tweet about it or publicize it in any way.. she's doing it for the smile on the patient's faces. anyone who doesn't think taylor is a good role model is crazy. i'll always look up to her. edit: also, stay strong shelby and all of the other patients at the hospital!!!

Taylor is an absolute angel, she made my best friend's dream come true (the one on the left in my photo) after a facebook campaign for her to meet her in NZ last November during her hard fought cancer battle, sadly she lost her battle last month but it gives me comfort knowing that I got to witness her number one dream come true thanks to Taylor and the kindness of many people. It's like a sad state of existence for some people. The more genuine and un-hateable a person is, the more haters will reach for the most ridiculous nuance to hate on. And the even sadder thing is many people that can't help but to hate do so because they really aren't at peace with themselves and therefore try to cover for that by bringing everyone else down.
