Now im crying while writing this,i got diagnosed with TB 5 years ago,and i completed the treatment.but recently about the last 1 month i start have infection problem in my right ear,i went to the doctor,he gave me medicine but it didn't get better,but sometimes my ear is healed fr few days,and after that the infections came back,and now since one week i start feel a headache even when i lay down on my bed, ,difficulty of sleeping and blocked ear.😭googpe said it might be TB meningitis.i plan to see a doctor this week, but im just so scared right now😭😭

Well as much as I know I don’t think it can happen again if you completed your TB medicine course because I have never heard a single case where TB came back. Still some TB patients has told me that their doctors have warned them that they should be careful in future if they any signs. My doctor hasn’t said anything like this but I will surely ask them now.

Hello Mam, It was really helpful. Mam we are now in hospital with my 4 years old son with worst case of tb meningitis. VP shunt has been placed in his brain and he is now out of critical with just opening eyes and blinking but no movenent in his body and he is not in consciousness till now. Hope he will recover. Mam i just want to know do u have VP shunt placed for draining the excess liquid . If yes are u still with shunt placed.

Hi Yes I had shunt procedure when I was in the hospital and it is still in my tummy. But the shunt I have is not VP shunt, I had the LP shunt which is also to remove the excess fluid. It is an alternative to VP shunt. It is place in the tummy which is connected to back to remove the excess fluid.

Yes I have. I was in this condition for almost 10 days. I was not unconscious but I was confused and I don’t remember any of that. Probably same will happen with your cousin. When he’ll be better he’ll forget this period completely.

It depends on the treatment. I had the LP shunt which helped me to reduce the pain from the day it was inserted. I do know about those cases where doctors don’t do any surgery

I don’t know about age factor but she will recover from TB for sure. You just need to be emotionally there for her all the time. Encourage her that she will be fine soon. Feed her good healthy food like fruits salads. Make sure she is eating properly and not missing any dose of medicine. Most important give her love and care.

How much time does it take to improve the vision . Are you still continuing your medicines . My cousin has same problem she is 22 yrs old . Because of hydrocephalus they inserted a vp shunt in november . Its 2 months of surgery but the vision is not improving and medicines are continue . Doctor says the vision problem is because of toxicity of ethambutol . Vomiting is continues from the start ( july 2022 ) till now . I just want to know can she get her vision back . And what about the vp shunt will it work properly or not .And the last thing how to decrease the vomiting .....

See nothing is 100% sure because every body reacts differently. But my vision came back slowly. It took 3 months to see properly and vomit I don’t know because I stopped vomiting after the surgery. So doctor can tell you better.

It's an individual thing actually. This disease affect the brain and every individual react differently. Some forget things for spam of few days and some even for a month. I don't have memory for around 15 days. but even after 15 days I started to remember small small things as I explained in video I started remembering things from when I was in hospital and I had lumbar drain. Even then I was not 100% conscious I was becoming conscious slowly day by day. Well this was me. Your friend might have fast recovery or little late then me. But I am sure he will recover. If its only a month since he's taking TB meningitis then few weeks more and he will be more stable.

I was admitted on 11th April. I was hospitalised for 2 months. But there are reasons for this. At first Lumbar puncture was done but it didn’t work so they did lumbar drain for 2 weeks then I got recovered little bit but when they removed the drain after 10 days I started having pressure again so they did the surgery on 25 May which was very successful. It really helped me. But still I was recovering slowly and they also wanted to make sure that I won’t have any side effects or any complications so I stayed in hospital for approximately 1 month after surgery. I got discharged on 22 June.

میری عمر 55 سال ھے۔ مجھے TBMاور spine TB ھے۔ میرا 14 ماہ کا کورس مکمل ھو چکا ھے۔شروع میں ESR report 125پر تھی۔ 8ماہ کے بعد 90 پر آ گئی ۔ اب 14 ماہ کا کورس کے بعد بھی 90پر ھے کبھی mentally level up ہو جاتاہے ۔ محترمہ کب تک میں ٹھیک ھوں گا۔ اور کب تک میرا ESR Level زیرو ھو گا۔ رہنمائی کر دیں۔

After 4 years of this treatment suddenly I affected seizure several times.then dr said taking TB medicine 2nd doose.but after 2 years I was again affected by seizure and dr treated me by a medicine and suggested to take 2.5 years.and he also said this medicine wont effect on my married life if I get pregnent.but gynecologist said its harmful to pregnancy time to take this medicine. Can suggest me anything about this?
