TBC Classic: Fishing for Gold! How to Make Thousands with Fishing and Cooking!

As a follow-up to my TBC Classic Fishing Guide I wanted to once again share with you my own personal way of making gold . Now this isn't for everyone, but I absolutely love fishing way more than killing endless mobs. The sale prices I show are a combination of my own memory of their value in 2007, and comparing that to what we're seeing on the TBC Private Servers. Somewhere in between is what I show here to give a baseline sale price. Of course these prices can be different than the server you play on, so what's important is you pay attention to the market for all the fish and items I show here and farm the ones that will earn you the most gold for your time.

Aquadynamic Fish Attractor is also +100 skill lure, and can be bought in limited quantities from many fishing vendors, and can also be made by engineers and bought and sold on the AH.

I remember back in I think Mists of Pandaria, there was a fishing spot in the blood elf home (whatever its called), and you could just catch/cook and sell these fish for 1-2G each. They bought really frequent too. It stacked up so fast. I think 1 player was just buying em for years, cook trainers, or dungeon runners whatever. But you could average like 200-300G a day was pretty good.

I made at least 50K gold from fishing in Classic. I never did watch his Classic guide but I suspect I was doing most of the things he was recommending. Alas, one thing that really helped with fishing revenue in Classic was to have dedicated fishing alts that you can park in good fishing areas (the Feralas coast, for example). This will be less of an issue in Outland since it is much easier/faster to get from place to place in the new continent.

I had a dedicated alt parked in Feralas and I would simply log in periodically, including every morning when I was killing time before work and sometimes when I was watching TV at night and just run up the coast fishing out all of the pools. That toon was hearthed to Camp Mojache (or whatever it is called) and when the bags were full, I would hearth, mail stuff out, and ride back in 3-4 minutes. I really just printed money with that toon. I will probably miss it since I don't plan on doing much fishing in TBC. At least based on the prices of things like Golden Fishsticks and what not now, I don't think it is actually as lucrative as Classic was but lots of people seem to *think* it is lucrative so there seems to be a lot of competition.

The problem is that you cant sell too many fish on AH unless you're playing on Firemaw. I'm playing on Golemagg, which is medium sized server, and its hard to sell more than a stack of same fish or food per day on average.

Huge Spotted Feltail: the recipe isn't in game yet, so these are useless atm. As the captions note, in this video, they are under 1g ea right now so I'm buying them and banking them! In p2, they will be worth a lot more as the Fisherman's Feast will then compete with Crawdads as the only 30 stam buff food in game.

@@azell2913 take one Tournament to just watch where they frequently patrol. Try and fish where they’re not. If you have friends (especially the Warlock variety) use them to summon you to safer locations.

Fishing for gold? More like fishing for silver. While I respect the editing, locations, great commentary and strategies on how to catch all the fish in TBC Classic I have to say the prices you give us for each item (at least on my server, Whitemane, i don't know about others) are way off the mark. Most of these fish and their related cooking items are way cheaper now then what you say in this video. For example you say the golden darter will net you 2 gold a fish and the fish sticks will net you 3 gold a fish. While currently, only a month after you made this video, darters now only go for 70-72 silver a fish and the fish sticks only go for 75-79 silver a fish. The huge spotted feltail you said that would sell for 6 gold a fish is now only going for 99 silver a fish So at least on my server (I'd be confident if this is for nearly all servers) the fish market has either crashed hard or it isn't as lucrative as it was for when you fished back in 2007. I hope you do an update video on this guide cuz as of current it's misleading for me. Back to grinding mobs for primals!
