If you have an off hand 0.1 faster then your main hand, you can also make both weapons sync and stagger by pressing the macro on each swing, i have test this already, can make a potential use of the BS hammers and axes with 0.1 faster offhand options. Great content as always, keep it up bru :)

The better leveling up weapon skill method is at the end of diremaul North. The end don't die, and they don't even attack. As an enhancement shaman in naxx gear, I solo'd all the way to the end (used reincarnation once). Don't need to worry about them attacking, because they have 1/1 hp, and don't attack you. I set my character on auto attack. It took nearly 1 hour to get my fist weapons up, but it worked. 100% recommend that way to get your weapon skill.

For anyone struggling with this: If you spam the macro, your offhand will never hit. To easily get synced first time every time, spam the macro so that the red dot get stuck on the left from your OH not swinging. Then wait for the white dot to cross the line in the middle and stop spamming. Voila synced first time every time.

Out of curiosity, why put WF in the offhand if you'd prefer MH procs only. Considering it's a 3 second internal cooldown why not imbue something else? Sorry new to shaman and trying to pick up a little bit of this.

If you put a different weapon enchant on your offhand like rockbiter, will this solve the problem of having windfury not proc off of the main hand? If you don't want it to proc off of your off hand, why enchant it with windfury in the first place? Thanks in advance

I have a question. I picked up the Big Bad Wolfs Paw last night in Kara. 2.5 speed main hand. It is replacing my twin axes if the legion. Downside is there isn’t many 2.5 speed offhand weapons. Should I go faster offhand with FT until I get two 2.6 speed weps? Or is weapon syncs more valuable than a roughly 30 damage difference between the weapons? Can’t seem to find an explanation to this anywhere

@@NumbersTho it's gonna come down to how much you want to resync your weapons. If you got a 2.6 offhand you'd likely just be hitting the sync button a lot and if you prefer high APM gameplay the. It wouldn't be an issue at all.

Hey Holderhek! Nice video as always, i was wondering. Is it more worth to stack Bold Living Ruby on armor, like on the bladed shoulderpads of the merciless for example? Rather than let's say inscribed noble topaz.

The only time you wouldn't stack red str gems is to meet meta requirements. Otherwise +str wins in virtually every situation (notable caveat would be the cyclone chest where the set bonus is plus four strength so utilizing an orange gem in that slot gives you an actual DPS increase)

If you are specced into resto and not taking the hit you're way better off speccing into ele for shock damage and mana btw. Nothing else in resto is actually worth having. Your melee group should be close enough and the mana savings from shocks are greater than the savings from totems

Hey man, Just wondering if on some fights/weeks you have less luck with parsing? I parsed a solid 92 last week but this week barely broke 70. I looked and compared logs and the only difference was that I had less WF procs and crits. Do you also find this sometimes?

Once you have the fundamentals down, use full consumes and know the fights the thing that actually governs your parses in BCC more than anything else is party/raid composition. If you don't have the optimal party set up for you (feral, arms, BM, BM, Enh) and your raid doesn't have all the proper armor debuffs/raid buffs AND your guild doesn't kill bosses fast enough your parse will suffer. It's unfortunate but a lot of this is out of our hands.

Unfortunately Shamans are a very RNG based class and it all comes down to the crit procs

This seems similair to warrior HS toggling except you'd want to lead with off-hand. The only thing I dont get it why you want to lead with MH. Do you not have the same chance to proc wf with OH regardless? Is it on an internal CD?

The oh suffers a 50% damage penalty so you want the roll for wf to always hit the mh first. Additionally if they are staggered very close together (.5 sec apart) you only expend one charge of flurry instead of 2. Yes WF has a 3sec ICD.

Did you watch the video? Apparently not. He literally states that windfury procs with the off hand suffer a 50% damage penalty. That’s why you want the MH to proc it. It is on an internal CD. Both things you would know if you watched the damn video.

Would spamming the macro, when it's not needed, make you lose dps? I'm not sure I understand fully how it works but if it's resetting your swing timers it would surely mean a dps loss no?

It resets the offhand so doing it endlessly for no purpose could be a dps loss

If you keep spamming it you will be constantly preventing yourself from auto-attacking with your off hand altogether, meaning you are only swinging your main hand, so yes that's a potential big DPS loss if you keep spamming the macro when you don't have to. In most fights you'll only need to sync it up once per mob unless you get parried or something like that.

I've done Decapitator 2.60 + fel edged battleaxe 2.20 and Decapitator 2.60 + pvp blue axe 2.60 and the first combo comes out above. But is that literally because fel edge dps is higher enough than pvp blue axe? syncing best I can on first combo and a lot easier second combo. Also I really like the Weakaura!

The double 2.6 weapons should come out ahead most of the time you may have just had a outlier result. We have a fairly robust sim working in the disc if you wanna check it out.

I also had the axe crafted. Preferring slower weps but thinking the higher DPS on the axe would ultimately win out. I did some of my own sims using one of these blasted mobs and the blue 2.6 OH outperformed the axe by about 35dps in damage despite being short 12dps on the wep itself.

I have dragonpoop 2.7speed in mainhand and HWL Axe 2.6 speed in offhand. Is this bad? :) I can imagine that my sync and stagger will always mess up. Anyways. Do i need a weapon that is 2.7 speed or slower to match my DRAGONPOOP MACE? Otherwise ofc p2 we get to use 2x Blacksmith weapons. Q is. Do i stick to my 2.7MH/2.6 OH until then? I did have a 2.9 speed hwl axe but its a level 60 axe so

The 2.7/2.6 is technically bis if you can macro the sync every swing otherwise 2.7/Fist of Reckoning will likey work better for you on most fights. I would try to see how comfortable you can become just syncing every swing. After a.lot of practice it should be like second nature.

Yeah ive learned it quite well. i dont sync each swing but. i try to make sure mainhand leads. and i try to keep swings near each other. so maybe every third swing or so i might macro

You wouldn't want to automate it like that as it could also take you out of sync. It's something that needs to be manged specifically once or twice with matched weapon speeds or micromanaged with offset speeds.

The macro works by delaying your offhand swing. Specifically, it prevents your offhand from attacking for a duration equal to half its swing time

It's stops you from auto-ing for like 1 or 2 seconds, that's worth the DPS increase of having more flurry procs/proper WF procs, especially in long fights.

What else are you really tracking tho? Our rotation is kinda simple I enjoy this for the extra apm. It's not a massive dps gain but it's benefits are substantial (only use one charge of furry per two attacks, chance at 50% more windfury damage).

i dont get it, dont you skipp or delay your second hand attack by that or how does it work? also its randome if your weapon procs it if you have your main hand attacking first but because its randome, wf proccs on your second hand then it wouldve been better if that second attack wouldve been your mainhand isnt it? theres alot to understand this mechanic and this video doesnt really go that deep into it also not explaining how much dmg increase this is supposed to be.

Because the reason this random weapon swing timer happens is a question not even Blizzard can answer. Most of the time when you start normally attacking a mob your off hand will swing first, by using the macro and staggering your off hand hit you can delay your next off hand swing and have your main hand swing first on the next cycle, unless you get parried or out of range you only need to sync up once per mob you target, thats a 1 to 3 second initial delay on your off hand swing depending on how far apart the swing timers are, and subsequently how long you need to spam the macro. Apparently this is a 5% DPS increase, which is a lot on longer fights. Based on that there's no reason not to sync up your attacks.

If the mainland is leading and staggered you'll proc mainhand more than off and you'll use one charge of flurry for every 2 crits.

Another one i use a weakaura called "Wf now" or something like this. it works great but only seems to work if the other melees have it installed. Is there a better windfury twisting addon/aura to use? Since when the aura doesnt work i just simply rely on the timing i feel is right. sometimes i also forget if WF or Grace was up... so i recast wf and thats a big waste. Looked around on youtube. noone has really made a video on twisting addons

excuse me but shouldn't this talent be biased by the fact that the more often you attack with your faster OH, you by that have a better chance to crit anyways? doesn't this make it kinda even? I for myself hate this min maxing to the total end of doom we are riding inside of... like as an elemental shaman I have passed on every but 1 Token for T5 because why? I get more mana... yes! I could take Destruction Potions instead of mana pots... but for other classes it was jsut MORE potent... or why should I roll on some offset cloth wrists that are maybe giving me 10 more DPS when a mage just deals 50 or 60 more with it? EVEN IF IT IS MY BIS LIKE SOMEONE SUMMONS UP I just don't like it...

I cry whenever I see a geared to the teeth enh shammy with fists of reckoning in the offhand, you mean to tell me you want to suffer that much of a dps loss by having a lvl 61 item with dogshit stats so your swing timer can sync up.
