I ain't got a hellcat, but I have a Charger R/T. The smallest of the Hemis, but it's louder than normal since the last owner yeeted the mufflers (I still have my mids so the drone isn't bad), and it's in B5 Blue Pearl. Safe to say it attracts some attention. YNs be PLOTTING right in front of me, police have followed me around every now and then, and if that ZF 8 downshifts on its own some G35 pulls up for a race... ok that part is fun but still. It's kinda sad how bad of a rep these cars have now. Hood niggas think they the fastest shit on earth, and internet niggas call them shit boxes. The reality is that it's a nice car with plenty of space, it's easy to work on and modify, they're FAR from slow, and they sound good. It's both the most fun yet most stressful car I've ever owned.

The problem is not giving what people want. Mercedes-Benz took a beating with the C63S, a hybrid 4-cylinder. They're not selling it, they're just not. Now, they're already working on a new version packing a V8. If the new Charger had a V8, it WOULD sell. Dude, you can even keep both the I6 and even the goddamn EV for those who like it. But they should've offered the V8. Manufacturers, GIVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT! Even game makers are not taking losses because they refuse to appeal to what their customers WANT! And word of advice, don't mock these same customers because they don't like your product either, because if you do, don't be surprised to see them dropping your product and company altogether, like a bad habit!

The reason Stellantis stopped producing V8s is due to the emission reduction credits; dodge made so many V8 vehicles that they did not earn credits and had to buy over $2 billion worth from tesla. Ford and Chevy can still make a few V8s due to they have been more eco-friendly with their other vehicles in contrast to dodge/Stellantis.

They had to because they ran out of credits for not producing a fuel efficient ev car. For years as every other manufacturer created cheap ev’s to balance out their gas usage cars they ignored it until the end. Once they realized this they hurried to create a 💩hybrid they thought would sell to slightly offset the production gap (hornet). Since they only sold like 3 hornets they literally have to go pure ev, no hybrids etc. Pure self inflicted. Completely dumb and now they have a pos ev muscle car which in itself is disgusting. This is why ford can comfortably continue the V8’s. They have several semi successful ev’s in rotation since this regulation was announced.

I'm really disappointed that the mustang is about to be the only American v8 muscle car. I'm an LS guy, and I like the tremec transmissions, so naturally I gravitate towards the camaro. I like the mustang too, but I prefer the engine, transmission, and looks of the camaro better. It's a shame the camaro is gone. I'm not shedding any tears for the discontinuation of the hemi. As you said, it appeals to a group of people that are responsible for street takeovers and intersection burnouts and bouncing off the rev limiter at 2am with no cats or mufflers. I'm not going to miss the newer generations of dodge muscle. I miss the 2000s challenger SRTs, those were pretty cool. And I miss the viper. But I'm definitely going to miss the camaro most of all.

When I was in high school up until I graduated college, most young dudes(with a slightly decent) had the same game plan. Find a cheap apartment or house with roommates so they could easily afford a nice ride and still have decent money in their pocket. It was an easy decision to go with the Hemi 300c or Magnum because they only cost about 6k more than getting a Ford Taurus or Chevy Malibu. Young boys in this economy don't have the funds to look at a R/T never mind trying to get a Scat or Hellcat. The older dudes that could possible afford it have wives and kids to consider. My neighbor has been talking about buying Hellcat for years. His wife got a new Equinox last year ago and he got himself a new Nissan Titan this summer. And most car enthusiast I know have a very specific Mopar model they want and how much they would pay for it. And they are waiting patiently.

The problem is that quality of Stellantis products just horrible all the way. Also when you raise prices for a car almost 20Gs above MSRP, not solving quality problems of your product, killing engine that brings most of attention to your product, firing a lot of people but at the same time CEO gets millions of dollars in bonuses eventually you gonna run into troubles. This whole fiasco goes back to FCA not having fuel efficient compact and mid-sized cars economy cars to bring up the fleet MPG and bring down fleet emissions. For every Mustang Ford sold they sold at least 3 or 4 Focuses and had half decent hybrid trims for everything except the Mustang and their Truck models. Dodge hasn't had a popular economy car for the masses since the Neon and NOBODY wants the Dodge Hornet over a Honda CRV or Toyota RAV4. They went whole hog on the Hemi V8 wherever possible for damn near 20 years and had absolutely nothing as a foundation for hybridization and electrification hence why they had to eat shit and sign a 360 deal with Stellantis out of desperation. Mind you I haven't even gotten into their bullshit pricing strategy and quality control. They got people paying Mercedes-Benz and Lexus prices for Jeep Grand Cherokee assembled by drunk klansmen in Ohio and wonder why they they can't keep a customer for more than a 2 year lease term.

See they near f'd up.. what I would've done was mass produced a more efficient v8 scat that ran on e85 or an unleaded. And made the hellcat line up on an special order only basis similar too what nissan does to the gtr you have to order that car.this nonsense with everydodge dealer having 6 hellcats would be a no go maximum of two hellcats unless theyre sold and theyd run msrp around 150k purposely to hopefully keep this car out of certain buyers people's hands. Upgraded the engine to a 7.0L that ran strictly on e85 only with a 3.2L supercharger. Upgraded the interior and made the car more aggressive. Upgraded the security most importantly THESE CARS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOR ENTHUSIAST NOT YOUR GET AWAY MOBILE.
