Remember, if anything goes wrong during the engine startup, use one finger to move the starter switch to the "Abort" position and cross two fingers that you didn't just cause $1 million worth of damage : )

Very good thorough video. I did learn something with the pulse lights. I thought that was for when you're in real dense fog at least that's what I used them for. I didn't realize you use them for taxi.

They are super bright, so they can just be used as necessary. But yes, the taxi pulse setting is less bright and made for taxi'ing. Crazy airplane.

May I ask how your tooltips are so clean and minimal? Mine pop up in a big, glowing blue window, that takes up half the screen.

No idea lol. Maybe they changed them since this video was posted? It might have to do with your monitor size. I’m re-downloading the sim now to make more videos with it soon.

Lol ahh that's a good point. I should have just done that in this video. Oh well. They do guide you through it under the checklists. I may get around to it eventually. I'm going to focus on doing more IRL vids for right now. In the Taylorcraft I've been flying.

I'm doing everything you say in this video, yet ALWAYS after I set it to flight idle, the engine just shuts down. I've tried EVERY switch to see if I'm doing something wrong, but nothing changes.

Try moving the throttle. If you shift it into the left lane with your mouse, that might help.

It’s a complicated move with the mouse. It can take a while to figure it out. Kinda a flaw at the moment.
