It took me 4 years to forgive my dad once I remembered what happened. Understanding that I could forgive and love from a distance was the knowledge that released me to finally forgive, before he died I was able to see him without any hate or anger towards him. God is soooo good💞🥰🙏🏼

This was an awesome message that I needed to hear. My husband and I were married in 1994. We separated in 2004. I took over custody of my grandchildren in 2007 until last year so I put filing for divorce on the back burner. This year I prayed alot about filing for divorce but God kept telling me to wait. Two months ago I get a phone call from my husband that he has stage 4 esophageal cancer and its in his bones. I felt compassion for him and God put it on my heart to help him. About a week ago I moved him into my home. I'm having a hard time with it because he is an alcoholic. He is getting chemo and radiation treatments and drinks whiskey which makes him extremely sick. I have a hard time feeling compassion for him now because he is making it worse on himself. I'm praying that God helps me through this.

Just like GOD gives us choices, to which we know right from wrong, give your sick husband choices like no alcohol in the house and focus on make the best of the rest his life with family or chose alcohol that cause more harm and die a miserable lonely death! We really didn't get along in my younger years but as my grandfather said on his dying day, for me to take care of my mother because he knew my other 5 siblings wouldn't. So that time came and I went. 12yrs until cancer took her. I laid in bed with her at the nursing home I worked at. We sharing the most blessed moments the other siblings wished they could have. My daughter and I do not get along very well, my granddaughters 14 and 11 are very distant and learning from their mom and stepdad worldly things. I had wonderful parents and a decent life. Hi Lynne. I read your message. I prayed for you and your loved ones. Life can be really tough but JESUS is TOUGHER. He can do ALL things! We all have people in our lives that need Jesus and they haven't figured it out yet. We are called to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and that's what you are doing. Sometimes we have to PRAY AND LEAVE THEM AT THE CROSS. That means, pray and trust that God will do what He is famous for. (DO WHAT YOU ARE FAMOUS FOR is a song... I will look up the exact name and artist for you) I know all too well that praying and letting God handle your situation is best. He KNOWS what to do. You are to walk in LOVE and do things that bring JOY to your family without saying a word about their behaviors. They will wonder what happened. GOD HAPPENED! It's easier to LOVE them and SHINE for CHRIST without the stress. They already know that you don't approve of some things they do... they already know that they should accept Christ and learn about Him... they already know...but they, like many others, are not ready. So, be the example. Be the example of a GOOD CHRISTIAN who loves unconditionally. When they think CHRISTIAN, let them be reminded of you!!! There will be plenty of time to share the Bible verses and Christian T shirts, Christian magnets, and Christian birthday cards!!! What they need now is to see, hear and feel GODS LOVE through you and your husband. No extra talk about what they are doing or missing. They will figure it out. When you have time with them, speak of the LORD and how He blesses you but keep it brief. Let them want more. I hope my words are helpful. My words come from my heart. I actually have some loved ones on the wrong road too. I have seen a change in a few loved ones when I decided to do what I suggested for you. I left them all at the Cross!!! I've had to humble myself to see that within myself too. There are good people in my life who loved me but found me difficult and it all came down to me not loving myself enough. Ask God to heal those areas within you that you see as unlovable. Accept that God loves you and He wants you to see the good qualities He placed within you. I am so sorry that you feel that way. I was that way for 35 years but the Holy Spirit set me free! He had me write down 4-5 scriptures that talked about who I am in Christ. Then whenever I thought “I’m a horrible person”, “I’m too grumpy”, “I’m not enough” He sternly told me to go to one of those verses and say it out loud 3 times! I had no idea what He was doing but He was transforming my mind! (also those thoughts weren’t just my mind they were also the enemy! And I was in agreement with them!). So eventually I told God I felt like 8 was lying when I said those scriptures. God said “you have to choose which are you going to believe?” So I thought about it and I realized “God is not man that He should lie”! The Bible is truth! My feelings and what the enemy tells me or other people tell me can be lies! So I said “Lord I’m going to believe what you say about me”. After a few months I began loving myself and when I would hear/think “I’m not enough” instantly I would say out loud “that’s not true! God says I am special and He created me for a purpose!” Speak the scriptures and ask God to heal the wounds that you have. Saying a prayer for you

I'm going through lots of difficulty and Joyce makes me want to do better, and focus on prayer in these time's we're walking in. I really needed this message, I’ve had some challenging moments In working so hard to love those that aren’t so loving. Being wrongfully accused or putting up with unfair actions especially when it’s your own family. Pray for me please. Please Pray for my mom whose always upset and very hard to love I’ve had to stand back in order to keep my peace and my husband likes to go to bars to drink and socialize. My dear sister Joyce,you have brought me to understanding of how God is working in our lives. I was severely abused from 17-21 from first husband. When you said you would lay in bed and pray God to get you out. Then I struggled with everyone and trust was extremely hard in relationships. I met my Johnny Angel 3yrs later. Like Dave he was patient and beyond. After 5 yrs I finally realized that he wasn't there to hurt me. He showed me a love that was like God's love. Johnny has been with our Lord on 7-3-08. We were married 24 yrs. His love carries me every single day just like Jesus's. I lost literally everything except my children. It's all been gone three times. I have always had God's grace to pull me through. I battle my mind for the last 40 yrs. Knowing Jehovah,Jesus,Johnny. My three J's they get me through and continue to help me find the peace I need. This is such an excellent teaching. I admire Joyce authenticity and frankness. So many Christians are walking about with unforgiveness and resentment. However I totally disagree with having tattoos on our bodies. According to Leviticus 19:28, we SHOULD NOT put any markings on our skin.
