In the end of the 1980 s a friend of mine bought and gathered up all the parts to build or restore a yak 11 at the Pontiac AirPort. What an experience that was. He also had a beechcraft T 34 Mentor it was a fun plane to fly.

I love this yak, thanks for the vid!!! I am fan of your video's, please allow me one feedback: i do not like very much onboard szenes. There you cannotmhear the beautiful noise of the moki and you can't see the nice shape of the yak... Please more ground to air :)

This would have been so much more enjoyable watching the plane fly and not switching to all the various camera angle mounted to the plane after each maneuver. With that said, awesome plane with an even more awesome exhaust note.

Does that thing have straight pipes?
@keithlucas62608 жыл бұрын
TheSamchilders it has what's known as a "keleo ring" exhaust system in which all tubes flow into a ring tube. The first patent for a combined muffler ring was in 1960 for full size radials, and it has baffling in it. You really don't need that in these as the ring itself is the tuner.
