Its an Airworld Yak 11. The Twin seat version as they offer both single and twin. As well as a Reno version.
This is the larger of the two kits and was originally designed to fly on a Moki 250 Radial ( and it does well ) I just wanted a bit more performance so asked them to make e a stronger version to handle the extra power of a Moki 400 radial.
Weight is 23 kg dry
Servos are JR 8911's all round
Powerbox reciver unit and DX 18 Radio. No gyro on this one yet. But I think it might be getting a Powerbox 3e soon.
Moki 400 radial obviously. A 38x18 3 blade prop that was supplied by Airworld and is perfect as the engine never over speeds.
3 x Nimh 3300 batteries are powering the model and they are behind the rear cockpit to offset the weight of the big engine.
The model was built and painted by Phil Noel at Pinnacle aviation. the color scheme is a rare one for me. In fact its actually scale and unchanged. Its one that I found from the Chinese Air force. Its probably one of my favorite scale schemes. I love the tones and the colors stand out so well in the air. I have already used the scheme on another model already, and get the feeling it wont be the last time I do.
The plane is without a doubt the best warbird that I have ever owned. I have had larger more impressive ones, but none that tick as many boxes as this. Its big enough to make an impression. Yet small enough to be easy to handle. It can fly like a warbird, or a reno racer. Its super strong yet solid and predictable. Its one of those rare cases that if I were to sell it, or lose it. I would be ordering another the very next day!

I would think they would build these big ones out of aluminium or carbon fiber. There's no way balsa wood can withstand the stress of flight.
