I have found audiobooks are so good if you're feeling intimidated by classics - got me through my literature degree! Even better, there are often free classics on audible (best production usually), KZbin, or the library

British Girl's Guide to Hurricane's and Heartbreak is actually the sequel to "A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow"! I mean, probably more interconnected standalone, but I thought I'd let you know!

I would definitely recommend reading 'A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow" first, I liked it better and "A British Girl's Guide to Hurricanes and Heartbreak" I believe spoils the first book.

What’s on my TBR for October is: Five Broken Blades by Mai Corland, Book of Night by Holly Black, Killer Instinct by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Murder in G Major by Alexia Gordon, A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab, Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Witch of Wild Things by Raquel Vasquez Gililand, and The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco. This is basically all fantasy books for October.

I love your tbr videos! If you want to read something spooky or darker for October, I really recommend the book "Curious tides". It's about a magic school where the magic comes from the Moon and the sea. Secret society, dark academia, dual POV... I loved it!!

The 1st book to British Girl's Guide to Hurricanes and Heartbreak is called A Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, mainly taking place in England. I haven't read the 2nd yet, but it's more of an interconnected standalone thing. I enjoyed Cuban Girl's Guide! The 2nd one follows the sister of the main guy from the 1st.

I finished once upon a broken heart about two days ago, this is the book that had been on my tbr the longest. The funny thing is that I tried to pick it up multiple times and was always put off by it for some reason. Well a few days ago I finally picked it up actually wanting to read it and wow it was so good. And I will be ordering the rest of the books in the series soon but wow. It felt like such an accomplishment and yet I feel like if I would have picked it up at any other time I would not have liked it. Funny how that works.This all to say I'ts great to get the books of the tbr but some books just have to wait until the right time.

You need to read match before the enemy because they are in a series together. It is an interconnected stand alone but some of the characters from match are in the enemy and are important.

I absolutely loved A British Girls Guide to Hurricane and Heartbreak. I do currently live in Florida though and know some of the places. I related to the FMC in that book sooo much. I hope that you enjoy it!

Hello Catherine, big fan of your videos! I was wondering, what are your thoughts on reading spicy books as a Christian? I know that the spirit has to convict each person individually in their walk on what is ok and what isn’t (as there is nothing about reading spice in the bible 😂) and I totally understand if it’s too personal or you don’t want to share, I’m just genuinely curious as a fellow Christian who is trying to discern what I should and shouldn’t be reading what your thoughts are on this!

My tbr for October might be reflective of my September reads. I wasn't able to get through my September tbr though 😂 but what I read in September were a manga series. I used to be obsessed with manga cos I'm a huge anime fan 😆 and since returning to the "manga-verse", it's not only addictive but because manga books are relatively short (can be long too), they've accomplished so much of my 2024 reading goal 😂😃 So I'm for sure gonna continue reading manga in October 😂 but I'm not sure if I'll have an October tbr list 😄

Rach I hate to say this but I don’t think Rush is gonna be your cup of tea! It started off being marketed as a romance but then I’m pretty sure people complained, and now they call it something like an “erotic love story”. Spice is a HUGE part of what happens, I would liken it to 50 shades of grey. Plus consent is kinda dubious. Can you tell I didn’t like it 😂 anyway as soon as you picked it up I thought you might not get along with it!
