Peril sounds intriguing! Happy Summer read! I haven't yet read any Raymond Carter. Have heard only good about his writing.

Same here, I've heard he's one of those writers you have to try so I wanted to give him a shot :)

This is a nice idea to get some of your reads in from your shelf. I love Carl Sagan but it takes me foreverrr to read his books. So I hope you manage to like it this go around! I’m reading The Gods of Tango by Robertis and her writing is so beautiful!

That's a really good idea to give yourself smaller TBR reading goals rather than dedicating a whole month to just reading your own books. I might have to do that myself! Good luck on your summer reading :)

Good luck with your reading choices! They sound very interesting. Lady Macbeth and the Raymond Carver collection sound great. Love your top

Good luck on your summer reading! I might join you with this because I have so many books on the shelves that I really need to get to. Also your hair is really pretty I love how you styled it and the color is amazing!

I read The Left Hand of Darkness several years ago and enjoyed it but agree that it's definitely one you need to take the time and energy for. Can't wait to hear your thoughts :)

Sounds like a solid plan for the summer! I hadn't heard of Perla before, but now I'm curious about it. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one. It's funny, I was just talking to a couple of people last week who are planning to revisit LeGuin after having given up on one (or more) of her's. It must be something in the water! ;)

She's a challenging writer for sure, but I keep hearing that she's worth it so I want to give her a good try :)

Happy Summer reading, Sarai! Raymond Carver is my guy - WWTAWWTAL is one of the definitive short story collections of the 20th century. I'll be curious to see how you get along with it. Beware, the stories are BLEAK! -- The Left Hand of Darkness is is good. I read it for the first time last year and need to revisit it.

Thanks for letting me know they're bleak, now I'll know to expect that when I do pick it up. :)
