Good effort from Corona, and it’s certainly versatile with the TonePrints , but in headphones it sounds almost mono compared to the other pedals which are really wide and stereo.

That can be resolved by plugging the TC into a PC via USB and editing the settings.

I ve used a few chorus pedals through the years , but recently i got an mxr stereo chorus. I can say that is a very unique and amazing chorus. Is the best for the tones i was searching. I mostly like James Hetfiel's clean tone,from the older Metallica's live concerts, and this chorus did the job for me .

The CE-1 toneprint is really good. Overall very close, but i feel the Boss CE-2w (in CE-1 mode) sounds clear and glassy in the top end whereas the corona sounds slightly metallic. But that is nit-picking between a digital pedal and an analog one.

when I've listened to the CE-1 originals vs the CE-2w in CE-1 mode, I'd say the CE-2w sounded a little too "clear and glassy", almost too trebly and brittle by comparison to the original CE-1, so maybe the TC is a better approximation of a real CE-1 than the CE-2w? Not sure...just a hypothesis.

Had or still have many choruses, like Strymon Ola, Mobius, Corona, Ibanez CS9, Cs9 mini (mono), Hardwire CR7, Boss DC2W, plus detuners. Corona is in 2022 still top of the line , thanks to the toneprints (sweetwater's DC2w is incredibly good). Hardwire CR7 is the best digital chorus I had and still have. The worst was.. Strymon . Simply strymon cannot do choruses. Analog? Cs9 mini is mono, but it has LEVEL control! Great analog chorus. Need stereo? Eventide micropitch is what I use for detuning, simply the best detuner (and can do chorus) ever tried.

The toneprint sounds better than the waza dc2! More lively and present...just a bit more warbly, but it can be adjusted by the speed knob.

Thanks! Nice demo! TC is a very variable pedal, but Boss and MXR sound are clearer and cleaner, in my opinion. Especially on minimal settings. Feeling that high-cut and low-mid-boost on TC pedal is on .

Probably. Those TC pedals can be a bit tricky to tweak, as there are so many settings and options.

Corona is darn good, but WAZA CE-2 (ce-1 mode) was right there with it., Dimension C is the cold Alternative 80s sound. good, if you like it.

As with all sound its subjective, depending on the sound in the individuals head. But what I will say with the editing capabilities on the TC Electronic you can dial in whatever the individual requires. That’s not to say any of the others are bad here. But the TC has to be the most versatile, due to the fact that what is you required now may differ to requirements in the future. TC wins for me as it’s not a one trick pony.

Love how the MXR Stereo Chorus sounds. Have played a Strymon Ola? I’m trying to decide between these two. I will say the Corona sounds really nice. It definitely surprised me. I just don’t like how it looks lol.

@@toddthomas4761 It stands for chrous ensemble 2 and it is the successor to the ce-1- which stands for chorus ensemble 1. Sometimes people see the phrase “CE” and get confused and not know it’s a chorus pedal. But the key is to break down the anagram where C= Chrorus and E= ensemble. Hope that helped!

Why the huge volume jump with the Corona? Doesn't do a very good job imitating the Dimension C at all. Just sounds like a typical dated sounding chorus in comparison. doesn't get the clarity and space of the "C" at all.

It is 1:1 compared to other boss pedals but when you compare it to bigger pedals it’s more like 1:2 or 1:3
