Tc Electronic M350 Review Part 1

Here is a review of the TC Electronic M350 dual engine effects/reverb unit. In Part one, we test out the various reverbs (halls, rooms, plates, etc) on voice, piano and snare. Be sure to check out part 2 of the review where we test out the other effects. On the vocals, we test it out through a Shure Sm7b microphone (into a vintage Alice console, into a Mackie 1640i)

+Recording Studio Tips And Reviews I use it for the far away reverbs on pads, strings, choirs, etc. and its a good choice for this. My main reverb for solo instruments (middle sized reverbs) is a TC Reverb 4000 which is still better than the M350. For small rooms, ambience, etc. I use a Lexicon PCM91. In comparison to the Reverb 4000 the M350 sounds smoother and warmer but not as realistic as the Reverb 4000.

+Matthias Stock sounds like a nice set up. I've never owned the higher end TC units. I've had a pcm91, an Eventide Orville and a Quantec Yardstick (really nice for spacious sounds as well)

Depends on the type of soundcard you use. If it has digital in- and outputs you can use these so it doesn't lose quality from the AD- and DA converters.

DiMo28 yes there is a switch on the back that lets u run the engines in series or parallel

+Raj Dann they are both very good units. Personally, I like the halls the best on the TC unit as well as the chorus patch. On the Lexicon, I like the plates best for vocals and rooms for instruments. Also, the lexicon is a bit more versatile because you can put any effect on any engine (I like to put 2 separate delays on guitars sometimes and the Lexicon is best for that. I would say, if you like big, beautiful sounding halls, get the TC, otherwise get the lexicon for your go to general effects

you can use pedals ,but normally they are made for guitars basses,synths.So for vocals ,synths,drums drum machines ,I would say rack rev unit.

3rd knob its how much effect you want add to signal. wet-dry. its too simple.

Forgot to mention : Lexicon has no built in power supply. You need an external PS! Spacwise no go for me !!!
