At last! Somebody exploring the possibilities of this pedal beyond all the metal solos and Brian May noodling! Thank you 🙏

When do you choose to use a harmoniser like the Quintessence and when to chose a poly pitch shifter like the Brainwave?

What are your settings on all your pedals at 8:35 to end of video -- and from 0:01 to 1:30? Are you using a volume pedal too? Thanks! Great video by the way! www.SourceCodeX.com

Antoine I have been looking at this pedal, and I trust your instincts. Question about choosing the key. Let's say you want to play in A Aeolian (or any key it is not important). Once you have chosen the key, does the harmonizer work against absolute 100% accurate tuning? What if your guitar is slightly out of tune, is the Quintessence listening to your actual pitch coming out of the guitar and matching the harmony interval to that? Or instead is it interpreting say a "B" played on your guitar (since the actual tone waveform is close to what Quintessence thinks is a B) and playing the technically correctly tuned interval above that? I guess if the answer is the latter, you better make sure your guitar is tuned spot on. I know I am splitting hairs here but just curious how the pedal knows what to do. Thanks

From my experience, the pedal uses fixed pitches. Being slightly out of tune won't be a big problem, because intervals are not even fully in tune naturally in music (search for topics like the ''harmonic series'' or ''equal temperament'' to dig deeper into that subject). But if you are WAY out of tune, like exactly in the crack between a B and C, for example, then I'm pretty sure the pedal will be confused and play one or the other note. But there's no way you'll ever be THAT out of tune without doing something about it, because it's not only the harmony that is going to sound bad, but your dry signal also :-) Honestly, it was never a problem if I were ''in tune-ish'', it did not sound bad.

@@AntoineMichaudGuitarLooping Thanks very much. This looks like a very high function pedal and easy to use. I looked at the eventide harmonizer but it is menu driven and much more complicated. 90% of the features I would not ever even use. TC makes such usable pedals to get 90% of what you need. The pedal seemed to track very well based on listening to your playing. Btw I think you are a great player and a great teacher. Please keep it up.

Are the arpeggio sounds on #8 from your playing or the pedal?

From the pedal, I'm just playing one note and the pedal fills in the rest!
