TC Helicon are amazing. I used to have their keyboard voice interfaces that used for my korg pa4X. So many sound effects.They are very well known and big in the 90s, 2000's. Great price interface and if someone knows about voice effects its TC Helicon.

Great video.I just bought one to use for my music videos.i was very excited to get this. I set up my equipment and plugged it i to my iphone but got no sound nor did i see any lights. Then isaw you video and saw your tip to open up some type of video app. Bingo,it worked. Thank you.

I got one of these at the sale price - I'm quite satisfied with its feature set, however, DON'T LOSE/DAMAGE the USB cable it came with! TC Helicon are using a proprietary USB mini cable for this device. I wanted to "clean up" my desktop and thought I could use a shorter USB-mini cable. None of the three I had, would work. So I purchased a couple more from various sources and none of them would work either. You might want to label your cable for this so as not to mix it up with any others.

Yeah, definitely the bigges downside is the proprietary cable....it looks SO close to the same thing as a usb mini...alas...it is just different enough to not be

It acts like a multitrack interface, so you will need to either set your track to be a mono track rather than stereo.... Or export your track as mono rather than stereo

how is the latency vs the go solo? i heard the go solo has a delay in monitoring....

Latency is non existent on this one. The solo doesn't provide it unless you use the app or other software with monitoring and the latency is awful

For direct monitoring, yes, it has no latency but it has quite a lot of latency if you're monitoring through your daw. So not really usable for playing software instruments or playing guitar through plugs in because of the latency. It's really only usable if you're monitoring directly as you are or if you're just sequencing and don't care about playing into it. I think this is partly because TC Helicon haven't released any drivers for it so it has to rely on either asio4all or the native windows drivers. Both have poor latency.

DUDE! I ordered the TWIN and the SOLO based on your recommendation. I don't need either though. I purchased as back-ups to remote gear we already have at the station for sports broadcasts and news and event remotes. I was pleased by the build quality and the different cables that were included, but I have not used yet, so no report on audio quality. More later about monitoring . . .

@@ObscureMics I heard, no pun intended, that with the TC apps you do have monitoring, so maybe there is a workaround? $10!? they must be dumping them, for remotes they are worth it! I often monitor input audio from the OS and/or sound card, so no problem - I pride myself on finding ways to make things work LOL.

You are going to want to create two separate tracks in the app that you're recording in.... if the current APP you are using does not allow you to do that then try GarageBand

I'm hooked up to my iPad with batteries in the device, Garage Band doesn't see it at all. I can hear myself with monitoring on but GB isn't sending it audio...

Well that's pretty weird. This may be dumb.... But have you tried flipping the lightning cord? I used to have an issue with my iPad... And only one side of the prongs would register the device in GarageBand

@@ObscureMics It works with a dongle that allows me to plug in a power cord but that just tells me that the battery power won't ever work, also my gain knobs both let a signal thru at zero and don't affect the input signal in the DAW at all and my direct monitoring switch plays back both the DAW and unaffected sources at the same time. It's going back. If it happens with the next unit I'll let you know and maybe you'll want to post an update to your video.

Can confirm. Actually tried it today....looks like a mini USB....and a mini fits...but lacks some prongs on the top .... Looks like the go twin...and solo...have twice the prongs of a USB mini....shape is the same ...mostly

Upon looking for a combo interface with focus on MIDI, I bought this unit from Amazon for $49.95. It work perfectly! But why, oh why did they use a seemingly proprietary USB connector on the unit?! It looks EXACTALY like Mini USB and in fact a Mini USB hard drive cable I have fits perfectly but dies not work! I had wanted to. use it's factory cable to speak to my TC HElicon Play GTX which has what looks like the exact same Mini USB jack but no dice, as it won't even plug in! Huge oversight in my opinion and USB should be USB no matter what. Although the jack on the GoTwin does not use the traditional USB icon.
