Sorry I didn’t see this!! I know u figured it out by now probably. It seems like u have vocal pedals under control. Just make sure you can hear your mix well in any event. Better performance is always gonna be the best solution. 1% gains add up. If u want something to play back tracks from, you could use an iPad app perhaps. My Boss loopstations both have memory to upload backtracks if I need as well. Hope that helps!

I have one and the harmonies are great, just wish I didn't hate the reverb, and wish the tone settings were saved.. As it stands on mine I have to set the tone every time I use the pedal, so it lives in my drawer..

You have the rc-600 which does harmony. Is the tc helicon harmony that much better?
@brentbrownmusic2 ай бұрын
The Rc-600 doesn't do harmony read by guitar chords or input music. Only if u set the key or potentially midi. So I can't use the feature as a guitarist.

can I hook this up on an FX send & return of a digital mixer?

There isn’t a separate channel for FX send and Receive on this unit. Just 1 XLR in and Out.
@protus3882Ай бұрын
@@brentbrownmusic I meant like hooking it onto a separate aux bus or fx loop on a digital mixer. i’m wondering how to set that up or if it’s possible at all. i’m also curious if the pedal could identify the key from a sound signal of a full band just as well (drumless perhaps?) or any instrument other than an acoustic guitar. 👀

I understand that the harmonies stay in tune with the guitar but what about your voice, does it do any kind of auto tune to keep your voice in tune with the guitar?

Has anyone experienced an insane amount of interference when using this device? It usually starts out working fine, but after about 5 mins it starts spazzing out and my entire chain is filled with ugly electrical sounding noise. Is it just damaged?
@brentbrownmusicАй бұрын
It seems either damaged, a power/power supply issue, an interference loop due to power cords and instrument cables touching and not enough shielding. Or the actual cables. I remember switching to Mogami golds and fixing a similar issue with different gear. Best of luck my friend! Personally my unit hasn’t had any issues. So u have to trouble shoot a little

Very often a drop in power either due to power supply or power circuit in the pedal fault. A drop in power can cause distortion. Check the connection chain an psu, and all leads.

So tell me this does the harmonizer only work if it’s triggered through a guitar or piano? what I’m trying to say is can you use it without an instrument like singing a cappella without other instruments with a harmonizer still work?

Yea, you need a chordal instrument or back track to trigger the harmony detection.

Hey thanks for the info Brent! I’m actually waiting for mine to arrive in the mail! Question for ya: I’m also going to use a pre-amp/eq/effects pedal. Something like the Trex Soulmate Acoustic, the Fishman Tone DEQ, or the Boss AD10. (I’ve been using the TC Helicon Play Acoustic, but I want to have a separate/better quality pedal with more control for my guitar). My question is, should I plug into the Harmony Singer first, or after the pre-amp? I believe it should go first so that the harmony pedal receives the cleanest guitar signal first, without any effects applied, so it can create the harmonies most accurately. Whatcha think? Thanks so much!
@brentbrownmusic7 ай бұрын
Awesome John! I like that you are delving deep into the tone. I would saying pure first, but maybe try the other way too. It’s always worth testing just in case it’s better.

@@brentbrownmusic Thanks Brent! After trying all those preamps, I actually decided on the Radial Tonebone PZ Pre. Clean and simple. I don't need any other effects right now. First I want to get my essential sound as solid as possible. The TRex Soulmate is wonderful too, but again I don't need all the extra effects.

Hello Brent!! Have you ever compared the RC-600 harmony vocals with the HS2 one? If yes, what were your impressions? I'm thinking about buying the HS2, but maybe would be nice to gather some extra money and buy only the RC-600 to use its harmony vocals... I'm a little confused in this decision.
@brentbrownmusicАй бұрын
The RC-600 I don't use for harmonies, because it can't detect them from guitar. It's a manual change key thing. I need something like the HS2 to read my guitar chords.

@brentbrownmusic8 ай бұрын
Thanks man! I only use it for 1 light 3rd harmony over my voice in sections I can’t loop. It doesn’t auto tune (aka change my singing in anyway), but it makes the microphone sound better. I also like the reverb on it. A small swish army knife of a vocal pedal. I appreciate u watching even my gear vids Rich!🙏
