Purchased one and it is just the "One Tool" that the gig bag needs. It is especially helpful for young vocalists who are still a bit shy and who are still learning to "hear" what their voices can sound like in the future without all the 'behind the back comments' of people who can not see talent developing. Very Nice presentation.....

One reason I buy gear from Sweetwater, good demo videos. I play drums and also sing lead & backing vocals. This person is well versed on this pedal plus is a real singer. Well, good singers sound good with effects or without. What I'd like to see is a 'so-so' singer (not terrible but guilty of the odd off pitch note or wavering voice control) give it a go and see whether this device actually makes him/her sound good.

Excellent Demo! I'd just wish they'd use someone like me. Someone who can barely croak out 3 notes in tune. Now .. that would be a feat rarely accomplished ... a tone pedal that gets me in tune! :) If that was possible, TC-Helicon would have a million of these pedals flying off the shelf. :)

Please explain the signal chain if you're gonna use it as a sends effect.How you would plug in to the DAW so that the effect is asccesible on every channel.And also the signal chain if you're gonna plug it in as n insert.

That's a good thought, but the reverb you can hear, when she's supposed to be sounding 'dry', is stereo :) Ofcourse if her mic is stereo it could be possible, but the way it picks up her voice I'd say it's mono. It sounds to me like they're trying to butter-up the sound to make their product-commercial appear more appealing than a true clean sound-test would allow. Oh well :)

I use the effect prossessor Lexicon MX200 with Mackie mixer for my home karaoke system, it's so difficult for adjustment. so is this ok to hook up along with my mackie mixer? I have a small living room, 13'×14' so is it going to have alot of feed back, something like the huuuuu sound?

This unit seems to be great, works with batteries, is a mix of Voice Tone T1 Vocal-Processor Pedal and Voice Tone R1 Vocal-Processor Pedal, would be the best tool for street musicians.

Hi. I have question about the Mic Mechanic 1 power requirement. Whats the actual required current? Im thinking about running it with external battery. I saw a thread saying it uses 5.6W when it need 12V 4A..? Shouldnt it be like 12v x 0.4mA to become 5.6W??

great demo. Well recorded and demonstrated. I don't care for the pitch correction feature, tho. Far too many bad singers out there using pitch correction as a crutch. If you can't sing in key, practice or get off the stage.

are there any issues using this in conjunction with the C1 pitch correct pedal. I'm aware that Mike Mechanic has that function already but the pedal allows you to dial in the key and gives it a stronger effect so I'd like to use it rather than the mic mechanic. also would I put it before or after my mechanic

It sounds like it kicks in sibilance with the tone button. It would be cool if it had at least one tone knob, to roll off that high.

Agreed. I found the "tone" function cleared up the vocal, but added a nasal quality (moreso to her speaking voice). Otherwise, cool pedal, especially for vocalists to tweak their sound in venues with less-than- interested sound-techs...

Tough to get a proper feel for the verb, there seems to be some reverb still happening when the pedal is disengaged. Might have been recorded in a big room. Sounds like a theater. Awesome to hear the demo with such a great vocalist though.

What settings do i use on my s1 pro when using this pedal?The bose has reverb bass and treble so i assume i turn off the reverb on the unit and keep the bass and treble at 12 oclock then adjust the mic mechanic settings accordingly?

Hello, Michael! I’d say your understanding is correct on this. Defeating the reverb on the S1 Pro and setting the EQ to “flat” like you describe is the best place to start to get the Mic Mechanic dialed in to your liking. hey guys. im a drummer not a singer. i try to sing though..my voice i find is on the naselly side... usually we just turn up my mic enough to add a little bit of noise on the backgrounds. what would you recommend for a non singer to be able to magicly have a better voice for helping out with background vocals

Practice and get online singing lessons. It takes time and work to perfect your voice. No item will make up for lack of talent. You need eq on your voice and some compression most likely. Get a good mic like a Shure Beta 58 or a Sennheiser 935. They will help you out tons. You just need to sing as often as you can without straining to hit the notes. Breathing, posture, and technique will be the biggest tools you need to learn. Then better gear will really help you. No item sold can sing for you. Get to work and practice, it'll pay off in a huge way. Good luck!

You’ll need a PA. So you plug the mic into the vocal processor, and then have a separate cable running from the vocal processor to the PA ;)

This unit is limited, when you want this, you may buy a Voice Tone E1, T1 and R1 to get this. Keep in mind, this small unit costs a little more, than one of the Voice Tones and can replace three of them, not competely, but almost.

Hello: I am writing here to see if some kind soul can help me, since I am quite desperate with the subject: I have a TC Helicon mic mechanic, well, I go to their website, I download the firmware and it doesn't recognize it, it only recognizes an old update from 2014, there is no way to update it, (unless I'm doing something wrong, which I doubt) since in its day I updated it without problem, but now the echo selection only does 3 repetitions that are barely noticeable when there is music in between.
