Dude... You're amazing. I apologize for taking 9 years to find this. Thank you!

I am Romanian, and Tcha makes me look at my traditional music in a different way. In Romania, no jazz musician would play this kind of music because it is usually associated with events where other really bad types of music are present. In rare cases when they play traditional music, there is a heavy influence of the 'jazz sound', which diminishes the spirit of this traditional sound. But Tcha plays very authentic and I respect him for bringing this Romanian sound to the ears of jazz musicians!

Varga Radu isn't this a Hungarian tune from transylvania? I think its Hungarian from the Kalotaszeg(Ţara Calatei, I hope I spelled that right) region. Romanian songs have more complex rhythms. I might be wrong on this, I'm not sure...
@RaduVarga7 жыл бұрын
You're right, that's true. I was looking at lots of his vidoes and I must've lost track on which I placed my comment :D I was born in Transylvania, so this tune sounds familiar to my ear, heard it especially at weddings on the street. Nevertheless, he plays both Romanian and Hungarian tunes very well.

Varga Radu come to think of it How come noone has ever covered Romanian Invertita dance tunes? Outside of Bartók, I cant recall anyone working with those even though they are great!

Tcha is naturally superb. I love listening to him. As a very amateur guitarist, I would so much like to also see his guitarist play. This style of playing is such a complete and utter mystery!

hihetetlen ez az ember, minden hangszeren tisztán és félelmetesen játszik, énekel improvizál, nincsenek határok, én azt gondolom annak idején Mozart meg ezek a zenészek lehettek ilyen szinten, csak persze egészen más zene.

my family name is Carney aka a band of gypsy/carnival workers adopted that name. My grandfather on my moms side played the "fiddle" as he called it. Would play it w/o knowing sheet music, & we would all jump around him to get the bag of jellybeans he dangled while he played. He also did not have an SS# BECAUSE he believed that was the mark of the devil. He talked to lights in the woods, later scientists calling it swamp gas or ball lightening. He worked odd jobs to raise 13 children, making furniture out of soaked and bent tree twigs/limbs. He later was found dead in a cabin, w/ticks from head to toe, and this was a curse come true for my grandma because he left her at the end for a younger woman. I guess 13 kids wasn't enough. Should've named him Johnny Appleseed. He did like to sew what sown. believe it or not!

Very nice! I love Circolaia (spelling?) with the panpipes imitating the lark. My late father was Romanian and my late mother Midlands with Celtic (a Griffith married a Retallack & they met in a Choral Society. I also have gifts that way & with acting.). I haven't received an e-mail reply from Kosmos Ensemble. I don't know if they have any Zoom recitals.

@agnesmenes931420 күн бұрын
@@cristian-e3d6m the first melody u can find anywhere in the carpatian basin, where gipsys used to live. For ex: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXiWmmCChsuGZ6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/jarVk3yeqLWFrMU The second melody is a so called csárdás from Kalotaszeg region, which is inhabited by hungarians, romanians and gipsys as well, but this is a rather hungarian or maybe romungro gipsy tune.

Haley Sabai it's not a violin, it's a folk Viola(also known as brácsa) which is the traditional chord playing instrument in the music of the carpathian basin.
