Tchaikovsky on Period Instrument

Traumhaft schön gespielt, ein sehr schöner Blüthner, russische Melancholie und Weite sind in jedem Ton spürbar,... dieser Blüthner ist wirklich ein durch und durch russisches Instrument,... das stelle ich auch auf meinem Flügel fest, es ist der gleiche Blüthner, noch etwas früher (1862). Sehr gute Wahl für Tschaikowski! Danke für den uplaod!

Wass wird hier bitte gemeint, wenn Sie sagen ,laut ihre bemerkung / ansage'; 'ein durch und durch russisches instrument', aber woher denn, und wo hätte die fabrication statt gefunden.??

The difference is large if you listen to how clear this 19th century instrument sounds, both in the attack and even when the sustain pedal is used. And if you played it you would find that the action is very crisp.

Probably it is possible to recognize the differences between pianoforte and fortepiano by their timbre, and also by their different construction technique. I've just found on the web that Blüthner manufactoring (established in Leipzig in 1853) seems to have built only pianos in his history. A 1878 fortepiano, even if not impossible of course, should be a little obsolete. Thank you anyway :)

sorry for my pedantic comment, but this is a fortepiano or a piano? maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me a piano.

It's a pianoforte, the quality of this video makes it very hard to hear the difference and it almost sounds like a piano.
