Inadvertently stumbled across Georgii Cherkin whilst searching for various versions of Moonlight Sonata on KZbin as it is one of my favourite pieces…. I was overwhelmed only by his performance as to how absolutely beautifully he played this piece, twas absolute perfection. I have been searching his music since and what absolutely magnificent performances he has given with such talent, tone, passion, love and total genius…. On hearing the first movement of the piece above literally had me in tears… Georgii your artistry is out of this world and I am so happy I had the pleasure of your genius, absolutely stunning….❤❤❤

Actually all the manners are my personal feelings, I have never watched Van Cliburn playing Tchaikovsky before this performance, but watched it yesterday and I agree that there are some similarities :)

What a wonderful performance ! It makes me cry. After I watched it ,l felt it's the end of the world. Because I CAN'T play any musical instruments. There will be a talent show in my music class,and everyone have to perform the show---play the musical instrument. What can I do? I wished I could be better,just like you. Watch from 0:00 to 0:20. Tchaikovsky certainly wasted no time getting right to the powerful stuff. One of he reasons I love his music so much. He never beats around the bush. He makes a moving musical statement and moves to the next one. Never any filler.

Levels above the rest of the performers of this particular piece of Tchaikovsky! Exactly the right force of the hands. The sound of the piano is full and grand and so is the orchestra. The tempo is spot on(very important). Acoustic is second to none. Funny thing is that I was not really looking for a performance specifically from Bulgaria!

the first time that I came to hear this composition was when I was a young boy of 11 years. There was a show on the television that came on every saturday night at 10p.m. It was called the late show. I don't know why but I always had to hear it from the beginning and so I would always be in front of the tv at 9:55 so I wouldn't miss it. Now that I'm 64 and have it in my music collection I play them on 'replay' until my wife demands that I listen to something...ANYTHING else...lol
