I was there for this performance. It was such a spectacular event. That memory listening to her performance will never go away. The orchestra performed Schumann's 3rd Symphony and that was just as spectacular.

The music this orchestra does is almost unbeliveable... and the team of soloist goes toghether to the impossible.

I think some parts (especially the chords) were uncertain because of the unrestrained bow usage , but thats the way of janine jansen plays. She can keep the tempo while being so romantic and fluid.Amazing.

2:24 love the sound of that Oboe. Anyone knows the brand/type? It has the Clarity and punch of a Rigoutat and the warmth of a Marigaux but I suspect it's neither one.

She is too flashy and too emphatic in this video-clip; in my opinion she crosses the boundary between expression and exaggeration. On a different note, the record producer's idea of overly-amplifying the relevant instruments turns the video-clip into a fake; this is not how the concert would sound in the concert hall!
