The only issue would be the axle tube outside diameter. It would need to be 3" or our axle bracket will not fit. In those cases we have a weld on bracket but it is also designed for a 3" axle tube but would be infinitely easier to modify to work.

Looks like a well designed kit. I like the full capture of the axle tube. How much drop are you able to get total?
@tcimuscle
@tcimuscle 2 жыл бұрын
It is the maximum allowed and still keep the stock bed floor. At full compression the top of the axle is roughly 1/4" away from the bed floor. What that equates to as far as drop is tough to say given the truck we began with was already lowered. At the lowest setting the fender to ground clearance is 24.5” with 29” tall tires.

When adjusting the upper link bars for pinion angle, if you have to turn them out more than 2 full turns will it put any dangerous amount of bind on the coilovers? I just installed this kit, it’s awesome. But setting the bars up as shown here only nets me about 1.25 degrees up. I need to take the upper bars out a few more turns to get it to 3 to match the output shaft of the tranny. Being as the coilovers are mounted to the c-notch between two stationary brackets. I’m worried about the bottom attachment bolt pulling the coilovers into a bind when the axle rotates when I adjust the pinion angle. Or is 2 extra degrees of upward rotation minimal and I’m just overthinking? Thanks in advance !!
@tcimuscle
@tcimuscle Жыл бұрын
As long as you can get the lower shock bolt in and out you're fine. There should be enough deflection in the bushing to allow it. If not we can change from the bushing to a bearing. Also, if adjustments are needed beyond the specs laid out in the manual we'd suggest adjusting the lower bar first. The lower bar will not change wheelbase as much as the upper bar will.
@bonethang374
@bonethang374 Жыл бұрын
@@tcimuscle Thanks for the response. That’s interesting. I currently have the upper bars turned out two more times than what’s shown in this video. Would leaving the upper bars like I have them but turning the bottom bars IN the same amount the upper bars are turned OUT rotate the axle upwards but leave my wheelbase the same as it was or should I turn the upper bars back in to what is recommended and use only the lower bars for pinion adjustment? I’m not sure there’s enough thread on the lower bars to turn them in as far as needed, though.
@tcimuscle
@tcimuscle Жыл бұрын
@@bonethang374 Don't over think it, we're talking minimal differences in wheelbase. Since you've already turned the uppers, I'd just leave them and fine tune the pinion with the lowers now.
