Great review, thx! In my opinion colors get washed out pretty quick when viewing at an angle. I would not recommend this tv if you wil watch it over 25°. I have the 55" model only a few days and I am considering to go for an oled with beter viewing angles. But this panel is unbeatable at the price I bought it for when viewing within 25°..

HI Lucas - backlight value is individual, set it to the level which you find OK (not to cause eye strain or that the image is too dark). Contrast is usually set correctly by default. Sharpness usually doesn't need to be increased as it introduces contouring and halo effect around objects. Generally, tips from this video are good for every picture mode, including game mode.

Let the panel upscale, let the audio go to pass thru, do not let the Shield process it as you will not get Atmos otherwise, so let your amp or sound bar handle the audio via pass thru

Hey Javier - if your looking for a TV for watching movies, C635 will be OK. If you need something for sports and high frame rate gaming, then C735 is a better choice.

Disable Dolby Vision for gaming on your Xbox, and turn on Game Mode on your TV.. Even 30fps games are going to feel like 60 fps... Just enable HDR and disable DV..

I came here, because I was searching for someone who talks about noise reduction, because I have 75 inches TCL 75C635 and I see the noise almost in every movie... So I hoped that someone will talk about it... but even you skipped this topic like it is nothing... Before this I had 45 inches old tv and never had to thing about "noise" So, I wonder if it is something I have to count with now (is it normal?)... or if it can be somehow modified. I don't understand why that appears... when I watch Avengers Assemble on Disney + it is sharp as laser without any noise... when I play Independence day II it has picture noise as hell... When I play Frozen II it is sharp like a laser without any noise at all... when I play Raya and dragon the grain is high... so I wonder... WHY? All compared movies are from Disney + stream, all in 4K SDH... so why it is sometimes clear with nice dark black.. and another movie has picture noise with grains, even animation...?!

Darko,mala pomoc za model 43C735. Primetio sam jedan problem na Disney + i na IMAX verzijama filmova. Kad pustim neki IMAX film slika mi dobije na osvetljenju jedno +30% na par sekundi i opet se vrati na staro posle par sekundi. I tako u krug. Ne mogu da shvatim razlog,kao da se to desava na brzin promenama slike. Na ostalim verzijama radi super. Gde gresim?

Hey Kamil - settings can be bought on these links: payhip.com/b/NQGf0 and payhip.com/b/bs4KP Even though it says they are for C735, the menus are the same and controls work in the same way. The difference is that C635 is 60 Hz max so you won't have Blur reduction in the Motion menu.

Hello! I would be grateful if you respond urgently! I just bought a TCL65C735 to watch a movie. If I turn off MEMES, then the videos in 24FPS (for example RED) and in 30 fps (for example Japanese rope) go with twitching. But after all, if his matrix has an honest 120 Hz, then they should go smoothly, since 24 and 30 are multiples of 120. Does the 60 Hz matrix learn from him, and 120 is achieved only in game mode? You need to enable motion controls to benefit from 120 Hz panel. I recommend custom option with judder reduction at 0 (or a few clicks if you want smoothing) and blur reduction maxed out for the best motion resolution.

Hello Duško! In all of my tests, TCL C735 was playing the content smoothly - I also tested Kodi and there were no issues. Personally, I use built-in media player for audio and video playback and it also works really well. Philips TVs are often having issues with stability so I would not recommend them.

@@TVguyDarko thanks for answer, there are so many c7xx models you can never tell what SoC is inside, I mainly look for TV to be kind of a emulator box for older consoles using retro arch from 8bit up to Dreamcast so the GPU is very important for me. Mali G52 like in C728 should be enough but I can't know for sure and not sure if all series 7 models are the same especially in UK.

@@francescorapino3440 one fix was to change Smart HDR picture mode to movie in SDR content . But what i've read that DV just happens to be like that. Fitting the picture to what is happening on screen. HDR10 doesn't do that so that must be it.

@@francescorapino3440 yes that's true. You can't change picture mode when in DV. Only in standard content(not HDR/DV). And you can't use HDR instead of DV. I can only do that when using Xbox to force DV off.

Does C635 have native 10 bit display or 8 bit?

I’m using c635 where Local contrast when kept high makes lot of difference in extreme dark scenes though it is advertised it doesn’t have local dimming. It had micro dimming not sure if local contrast in this tv activates micro dimming.

Hey Teerth - if it helps, that's great. This micro dimming is basically a gamma adjustment control on scene by scene basis.

Hi Teerth, What is your experience with dark scenes in movies ? Some C635 and C725 users reported the so called "black crush" issue on the TCL qled models. Are actors faces sufficiently illuminated in dark scenes or did you notice a lack of shadow details. I have a doubt between the AU8000 and the TCL's for this point as the samsung seems brighter despite not being a Qled TV. Best regards 🙂.

@@TVguyDarko I have an old pioneer avr No 2.1 So i was thinking maybe of adding a audio extractor that converts arc to e arc but i want to know if both dolby atmos and dts x will be supported I'll be waiting Please let me know if you get an avr and do earc passthrough

C635 has a 60 Hz panel, while C735 and higher models have 144 Hz.

I have noticed some frame rate lag on Dolby vision, I can't change the setting when the input is Dolby vision? like from the Disney App. is there a workaround for this? I`ve also noticed that some apps just automatically change the picture settings to standard for example, which is really annoying..

Strange - which model of the TV do you have? By lag do you mean frame skipping, audio out of sync or something else?

Hey, yes - same settings work on that model, except you will have a local dimming option that you should use to benefit from local dimming feature.
