This black Friday you can find this tv for $449.00 & that's a steal. It does 4K 120hz plus 4K 60hz Dolby Vision gaming. I love the bright colors in HDR10 mode plus it's Gaming setup is top notch & THX certified. TCL steal needs to update the AMD FreeSync it can be a bit jumping when games to stick to a 120hz signal & is dropping all over the place, but that's a once in a whole thing. For the price this is the best budget gaming tv! WilleLangLang approved 👍🏾 #tcl #gaming

Q7 owner here. The flicker on the menu's is from vrr/freesync. I play MW3 on PC and it does it too. The fix is too set vsync to half only for menu's. At 4:30, you can see the hertz bouncing around like crazy which is causing an issue with the pulse width modulation of the panel. You can either disable vrr/freesync or lock the menu to half in game settings which is 60 of the 120 hz panel. This only occurs in game menu's (mw3 isn't the only game this happens on). When you're actually in a match, the flicker doesn't happen.

Thanks man. I just got the 50 inch open box with a 2 year warranty for 450 all together and got it all set up watching db super for 10 minutes before I had to leave for graveyard duty. Definitely gonna do that when I get home.

@@WhosBowl I'm assuming your playing MW3/Warzone 2 on 55" TCL Q7. To remove the menu screen flicker, you can can either turn off v-sync in AMD or Nvidia driver and run the game in the "PC" picture mode. The screen tearing isn't bad with freesync off. But I'd recommend keeping it on. Freesync is automatically turned on when you turn on Gamemaster. Gamemaster can be turned on, off, or auto. I leave it ON since this also activate auto-low latency mode. Then, go into MW3 Settings > Display > Vsync Menus > set to 50%. This is also assuming you've connected your PC to the Q7 with a 2.1 HDMI cable and set HDMI mode on the TV settings to 2.1 mode otherwise you may have issue getting display to activate 120 Hz. Hope this helps.

This helps immensely. I'm actually on a xbox series s. I know It sounds silly but certain games do support 4k 120hz on series s like warzone/halo ect. I'm going to apply these settings after my wisdom teeth surgery and let you know (curently at work). Or if you have recommendations for the series s like how you had suggested settings for PC would be awsome and appreciated. Ps. If it adds to anything I'm using a hdmi2.1 and it runs it at 4k 120 hz no problem. It's only in game mode. I'm just gonna try to apply the vsync settings you suggested on the TV and series s (I assume I disable vsync the same way in the cod menu as well or just half it from my understanding, and itll still happen, but not as much.)

Thanks im getting this. I have a tcl 55 inch from 2019 and wont do 120hz on 4k. Gonna give that one to my inlaws and get this one

Yeah this is what im doing. My 4k tcl is from 2018. Got it for under $300 been great but no 120hz. Got this one for $420 to upgrade.

Just. Heads up I bought a Nintendo Switch for black friday & you have to manually turn on GameMode cuz the Switch dont have HDR or VRR so the TV dont know its a game console. Same thing with the Xbox I put color to 60 & warm/cold to Normal. Left everything else the same! I might make a new video, but trust me the Switch at 1080p 60hz looks beautiful on this tv. I also put it in HDMI 2 outlet.

Only thing I changed was 50 to 60 on color(well HDR is on)& went with Normal instead of Warm or cool, other then that it's ready to game! Let me know how you like it, enjoy my brother!

Nvm wrong hdmi port i had it in eArc i thought that was the best one.

@MrUgotknifed I still don't get that HDMI outlet, what the hell is eArc anyway? I tried using my #XboxSeriesX on it didn't notice no difference in sound.

One thing about the TV out of the box is you do have to let that process or cook for a bit. Things will get smoother

Q7 owner here. I play MW3 on PC. I'm not sure if the HDR implementation is different for console. I've tried it in HDR with DTM and HGiG. You have to calibrate the HDR brightness in game settings. They won't be the same brightness levels for both. I liked dynamic tone mapping over HGiG. But I think the game looks better in SDR over HDR.

Hdmi 1 is 4k/144hz and hdmi 2 is 4k/120hz. I guess hdmi 2 is for console ? since the xbox serie x only support 120hz
