Thank you for this very helpful video. How would you start to add the yarn to a 4 needle I cord tool?
@The_CATT_Lady
@The_CATT_Lady 7 ай бұрын
I don't particularly have experience with a four needle version but if you did a "backwards loop" on each needle, that is another way to go. It's definitely fiddly at the beginning though and takes some practice. You could also cast on a set of DPN needles start the icord and then transfer to the the tool!

I have a 4 hook also and I would imagine it would just be under over under over or vice versa?

I have a different brand ... Is something wrong if the stitches NEVER easily move over the tool? I've tried with both 2 and 4 weight yarn.

It’s probably more of your tension than the tool?? I have the same problem if I am pulling too tight which is why I am constantly “jiggling” the yarn to loosen it up before I pull the stitches over. It’s a bit tricky to get the right feel of it I think!! Unless perhaps the needles on your tool seem spaced farther apart? That could make it a bit harder to keep it loose. I’ve had no issues using yarn up to a 4 weight. After that it’s pretty impossible for me to use it. But I do notice it can get tight and I just have to keep trying to relax and not pull too hard. It’s like an art to make it work well but once it does it’s worth it. 😂
