Hi Gerrie, You cut the end of the yarn and weave it through the loops and pull. I'm working on part 2 of the video that will come out in a little bit where I'll show how I do color changes and weaving the end.

The real thing is called a " tricotin".

It has a different name in different countries. Here in the Netherlands it's called Punniken. Tricotin seems to be the French name.
