Year End In Memoriam tribute, aired on Turner Classic Movies US cable channel in December 2011.
The song is "Before You Go" by OK Sweetheart.
The piece was produced by Scott McGee with Turner Classic Movies, and edited by Scott Lansing of Sabotage Film Group.

One of TCM's best-- although all of their memorials are always beautiful, stand-alone music videos. And it's impossible not to watch and begin to shed a few tears as your favorite stars' names pass by: Jackie Cooper, Betty Garrett, Farley Granger, Jane Russell, Harry Morgan, Cliff Robertson, Sidney Lumet, Arthur Laurents- OMG. Two special moments: Peter Falk saying "As you wish" and Elizabeth Taylor shown at the *very* end- after the "TCM Remembers" title- walking off into the rain.

I used to have this video's audio on my iPod, then replaced it when the song got more popular so it was just a studio version. I went back to the video audio because the song felt incomplete without the thunder and the 'As you wish'.

This one is my 2nd fav..not to say I'm glad to see anyone die.. but to see the tribute to a wonderful cast of great actors and others but when peter Falk said "As you wish"..and then at the end as the music slowly stops and you hear the rain and they show the "CAT"Ms. Elizabeth three different movies and when she is walking away in the rain "AHHHHHH"😭😭😭😭😭😭😭..it hurts something awful..because you start remembering your own love ones you have lost😪..great job..but my #1fave was 2016 with laren Bacall when humbert bogart says"I'll be waitin for you" ...and when shirley temple sings at the I was done.

By one scene that's your opinion on making it your favorite but if you're going by overall then 2020 and 2018 were the best tributes made in the Remembers videos by TCM. The one with Lauren Bacall was 2014 and I would rank #3 and it had the best song in it than any TCM Remembers and the ending with Shirley Temple was perfect. What 2011 lacks is the memorable quotes. I would still put it in the top 10 though, possibly #6 best overall.

Great that they included Barbara Kent - I don't think many silent actors or actresses made it into these tributes, even if they were still living until that year. They did include Fay Wray but she's better known for King Kong.

So true sylvia and trans, I would also like to add that many of these actors/actresses are the best in the business from the golden age of Hollywood. Sad to see them go; to all of them .....RIP

One of their best tributes of recent years. While I enjoyed the creativity of '12-14, they seemed to focus a bit too much on the scenery (in particular 2014). '15 and '16 on the other hand had really short runtimes...the names go by too fast, and there are no stand out quotes or anything. 2011 got it just right.

Yes. This is one of the better ones. I can tell by the wetness of my eyes. And it's so wise they choose revealing wordless moments. Even with Liz Taylor at the end. Somehow, it lets you feel their humanity and mortality more.
