he derailed and lost his balance, then he raised his arm so that the others coming behind would be warned of his reduced speed. His gesture of frustration is turned against his equipment which perhaps robs him of the victory

@@JakobKenda So you like to listen to jokes where they tell first the point, because it's about the journey, not the end. In sport it's about the suspense of who will win in the end. Yhe journey is almost only intersting because you don't jnow the outcome.

Alaphilippe seems to complain about Stuyvens line, but in my opinion it's Alaphilippe who is changing line, he starts his sprint completely on the left of the road before going full center 🤔

Apparently, in post-race interview, Alaphillipe said he unclipped twice in final sprint and didn't do well - tho in video of sprint he seems to be complaining about other rider - but in interview he puts the blame properly on himself!

So tired of the spoiler whiners. It’s like claiming the headline spoiled the news. Did you just connect to the internet for the first time this year? It doesn’t matter what the sport is, if you don’t watch in realtime you need a media blackout to avoid spoilers. Are you really that naive to think you can hop on any social media platform and not “spoil” the result? These are adverts for the sport, not “free” race coverage. You can blame capitalism...

@@animalsaysftw How does it benefit "the sport" to spoil the result of the race for anyone who happens onto the video?
@ytyehyeh4 жыл бұрын
@@jhmcwhirter Yeah, I had to dump the Flo Bikes youtube channel from my subs for the same thing. That still didn't quite work and I had to explicitly block them from my youtube recommendations.. I'd hate to have to do it to the official TdF page too.
@animalsaysftw4 жыл бұрын
jhmcwhirter It’s for those who don’t know who van Aert is. You’re already invested in the sport. Growing the fan base is undeniably good for the sport. Creating heroes, getting people to know the athletes and invested in their stories is a great way too engage casual fans and bring people to the sport. If you don’t know the athletes why would it matter who won? I don’t follow hockey. It’s not going to bother me if someone spoiled the result for me.
