I backed the 2nd edition version of the game on kickstarter. I have tremendous respect for the resistance fighters in WW2 and when I learned the characters in the game were based on actual resistance fighters I knew I had to buy it. Based on your review it sounds like it was a sound decision.

Great game. Played it solo only. And havent won once. I came close, but hen in one turn al lot happend at once. And everything fell apart. This game can be tense.

I was thinking this game reminds me of black orchestra. I hope it has a better pace as the mid game in orchestra feels like you're preparing rather than moving. Whay beer does a spider drink? A Bug lite

If you don't mind saying, I'm curious where you are from? I'm from Louisiana and our interest seems to line up would love to play a board game with ya someday. World War 2 is very near and dear to my heart also. My grandfather served in WW2 and I was raised on the stories he told. They were truly the greatest generation.

I am really intrigued by this game. I decided to pass the first kickstarter but now there may new one. A slight concern for me is the variability of the halt-cards. How many are there in the game? Edit: according to kickstarter page, there are 46 halts cards. How many of those are used (average) per game?

I didn't keep count. In the games we played I'd say maybe a half dozen or so. Ideally, you want to avoid them.

0:10 class? are you some kind of teacher? 8:00 easy to recommend buy it - but how does it play solo, and why not just build the free pnp? I'm Dutch myself, and in contrast to Maquis, here I don't particularly like the blunt vibe here - ausweis, halt, gestapo, the layout, it's just a little too much in-your-face. I might build the thing regardless. Oh and the missions take very long. You need a pre-internet gaming group.

Not sure about the missions taking too long. I felt that it is a good length for what this game does. Marquis is great, but it’s pretty light. This game has more meat to it, and in my opinion, is more immersive in its theme. I am a history professor.
