Another good review. Thank you for showing this game. I've had a long-time interest in The Winter War and its effect on the Soviet Army. For a history book of The Winter War, I would recommend The Hundred Day Winter War: Finland's Gallant Stand against the Soviet Army by Gordon F. Sander.

Thanks for posting. I really liked this game when I played a month ago. I had to play it 2x (once for each map). I am curious what were the main rules you had to kind of give a best guess to? For me, I was confused about air/fighter interdiction missions (shooting down enemy planes).

Artillery was a big one for us. How do use it on the charts, what about counterattacks? As I recall we did have some issues with air power as well. Nothing major, but enough that it was annoying. Overall, however, great game.

About the Artillery, I believe all is explained in chapter 6.1.1. Ground to Ground Battle. There it is stated that Ground to Ground CRT is applied. It is written: 'If Artillery attacks, it suffers no negative effects.' That means there is no counter attack on Artillery, too, no matter which type of unit is the enemy. Further it says: 'Also, if Artillery fired at Artillery, CA, DR and (DR) effects do not apply.' That means that the defending Artillery can't do counter attack and it doesn't retreat.
