I. Love that you stuck with the ACW thing for the whole video, and not just for the intro. And the music was really the cherry on the top! Finally another review as enjoyable as Dracula's Fury of Dracula 3rd ed "music video/review thingy".As far as the actual expansion, I always love to hear other people that love the Divided cards.I agree that it's the best Legendary expansion so far.

Just picked up a new reprint on the upper deck website. It’s been out of print for some time. I’m excited to have a chance to play the set.

Is that the Ken Burns soundtrack? Bravo, sir. You continue to raise the bar for board game media entertainment.

It's "The Bonnie Blue Flag," which was a popular tune during the US Civil War.

Brilliant. However I'm really torn. I stopped getting expansions after GotG because 1) I felt the newer expansions didn't add any 'must have' characters, and 2) I RAN OUT OF ROOM IN THE BASE BOX. Oh great TDG, how can I overcome this dilemma without simply adding another box to my gameshelves that are already full?...

Ah, yes. The age old gamer's dilemma. When you unravel that ultimate enigma, please share your solution with the rest of world.

I say, I say boy, this is a dadgum great review about the great Northern Comic book war of aggression! (Said in a Foghorn Leghorn voice, and if you're old enough to remember who Foghorn was, you're an old fart!)

I may be an old fart, but I'm not a lingering old fart!

I do have a follow-up question. Do you have an aversion to playing any of the military history games that involve the use of miniatures? It just seems that with you being a history buff, you would be into Saga, Flames of War, Empire, Hail Caesar or one of the others along those lines where you can command the forces of the great armies of history. As a history nerd myself, there is something deeply satisfying about replaying Austerlitz or Cannae, etc.

donald mason I played Warhammer 40K a few times years ago and enjoyed it, but it didn't really thrill me. Since then my miniature experience has been largely limited to X-Wing, Armada, Attack Wing, and the like. I think a lot of miniatures games you have to really invest in (both time and money), and I have such a wide ranging taste that it's really hard to focus in on one game like that (I tried it for a while with X-Wing and got bored- I like variety). I would not be opposed to trying some of these games, but I don't think they'd become a steady part of my gaming diet.

Well Sir you where incorrect in your assumption after reading the title of this game! I was disappointed in my own way. At last I thought a chance to crush Oliver and rewrite the history books. I feel that our 9 year struggle has been ignored by upper deck and I can only hope, nay pray the error of there ways will be corrected in the near future! God bless king Charles and death to those parliamentarians! May they be consigned to a deathly history! Good God man Banning the mince pies at Christmas was just a step to far! Down with the Roundheads Death to Cromwell! Thanks for the review Cody :)

Gotta be honest here- if the American Civil War was the original Star Wars trilogy, the English Civil War is the prequels. Robert E. Lee was Darth Vader, and Oliver Cromwell was... Count Dooku. Just sayin'. Much thanks, as always.
