I still haven't had a chance to play with the Cardassians yet. They sound fun. It's cool how GF9 has been able to give a proper feeling to each faction so far. By the way, I'm a fan of the faction-specific dice that you can get for this game. They're strictly cosmetic, but they're pretty neat. You've got to love those Next Generation-era earth tones of the Ferengi and Cardassians.

What do call a fat Cardassian? Man, I had to turn of my floor lamp (with four lights) to revive me after that one.... buuuuut I can't beat it. Thanks for the review and the laughs.

I've got everything for this game: 5 expansions, all escalation packs, all Starbases (painted), dice packs... BUT its an absolute beast to setup and packaway (probably 40-50mins total), hundreds of baggies... to the point we are reluctant to play it, even though its a great game. :( UNTIL NOW. I've bought a 3d printer for real cheap, and am half-way through printing an insert someone uploaded on thingiverse. - It will hold EVERYTHING in the base box! - Every faction gets a box in their colour with all their components (ships, nodes, fleets, custom dice, home system, cards) - boxes for all the nodes, tokens, lanes, system discs, cards - no more baggies - it should literally take a minute to setup and play It will cost about £50 in filament, but that's a bargain for the amount of compaction of content + time-saving. Really looking forward to playing it frequently once covid goes God-willing.

That’s cool. I bought a couple of Plano boxes and then use a few bags. It all barely fits (Borg still in its own box, however).
