TDG: Tower of London

Take my advice, if you get a chance to visit the Tower of London, do it! It's way better than the Tower of Milwaukee, or the Tower of Des Moines. But will this game of Beefeaters and dirty tricks live up to its castle namesake? Or should it be locked away with the Crown Jewels? Cody Investigates.

This game looks like fun. I personally like games that aren't just all strategy and have luck in them because I feel luck is the best balancing agent a game can use. That doesn't mean it needs to be all luck, but drawing cards from a randomized deck or rolling dice usually adds enough luck to the mix.

Great looking game. Any suggestions for solo play? It looks like a "worker placement" game, and I was successful making solo rules for Lords of Waterdeep, Kingsburg, and Covert. It looks like I could draw cards as an AI player to use to trip me up (like I do for the games mentioned before). Anyone have any ideas? I really want to get it...

While there are, perhaps, worker placement elements here, I would hesitate to call this game a worker placement game because of the card function. It almost feels like more of a take that game with area control.
