TDI Swap Into Second Gen 4Runner Starter Angle

I'm in the process of installing my Norwest TD conversions adapter kit for a r150 tranny bolted to a Volkswagen 1.9 ALH TDI. Trying to find out what others have done.

Hey great videos! I'm about 2 steps behind you; I've got a 2002 ALH and a 1995 4runner. I just got the TD Conversion adapter mounted on the engine today. Hopefully I'll try and test fit everything next weekend. I'm curious about oil pan clearance, did you run into any issues? Were you able to contact NW Fab regarding the starter issue? That's bad juju! Most of the Toyota/TDI conversions I can find online are done in straight axle rigs, and they have the room to install the engine without angling it for diff clearance. AND they don't have torsion bar brackets in the way of the starter. IFS make things a bit crowded, I'm thinking a differential drop kit may be in order. That'll help the oil pan clearance, but wont do anything to help with the starter problem... Thanks again!

Where can I get one of those starters? I've got a cjaa in a mitsubishi pickup going on....

I got it with my TD conversions kit. I'm still kot sire what it's original application is.
