Jade Rabbit's perk is basically a legendary weapon perk. The actual exotic perk of Jade Rabbit is having the highest aim assist of scout rifles.

this is factually not true, actually. that title belongs to Skyburner's Oath now. (skyburners and jade rabbit used to be TIED for the highest AA before the jade got the nerf, but skyburners was left untouched)

Yeah, this is a like, D1 exotic that has nothing extra going for it that was already barely exotic in the first place... And it's missing the thing that arguably makes Jade good as it "is", Zen Moment. (I have a personal vendetta against jade rabbit's mysterious ability to miss close range center mass shots I need to land...)

I hope that's not to discount how bad powercreep has gotten. It's a much much much more apparent issue than exotics having boring perks.

@@shatteredakuma my favorite example of how bad it has gotten is literally first hand experience. By that, I mean, check out a video for a busted build (let’s say solar or strand titan, arc hunter, or void or solar warlock, for example), put on some crafted weapons with enhanced perks, then load in to Shattered Throne and see how easy the solo flawless has gotten. Or, if you still struggle to flawless it, just solo it. It is crazy how easy that raid is now. And if Leviathan were still here, I think it would show even more, having 6 guardians demolish his healthbar.

I’ve been having a blast with another 150 scout “transfiguration” with rewind rounds and explosive payload. With how the 2 perks interact the game thinks I hit 30/15 shots and I literally never need to reload (also flinches the hell out of enemies)

This is similar to my first Adept Fang of Ir Yut with Rewind and Hatchling. The hatchlings you spawn (from the precision kill, not from any fragments) will count towards RR. Probably not as easy to proc like with EP but as long as you don't kill enemies your hatchling is going for it'll work. Definitely one of my favorite combos.

The IB pulse rifle Jorum can run with Gutshot and Headseaker at the same time. Most people have written off Headseaker, and rightfully so, but combined with gutshot it is an interesting combo.

Not to mention, the strand version doesnt have a rifle scope that make alot of zoom and minimal peripheral sights. It is a nice clean red dot which i personally prefer

I have the OG Kinetic version which I love and still get a lot of kills with it.Ithas Surplus and Iron Reach and have almost 400 kills in the last few months. The key is head shots with it that Surplus makes very easy. How much extra does its kinetic status give it in PVP.

In pvp it's kinetic status is a mostly a disadvantage as it won't benefit off of subclass buffs or as many exotics, the main benefit is if you and/or teammate/s have the perk disruption break (like on arbalist or some energy weapons) breaking a guardians shield weakens them by 50% to kinetic damage for a short time (I think about 5 seconds). The only other benefit I can think would be chromatic fire exotic on warlock. In pve however you deal I think 10% more damage if the enemy isn't using an elemental shield.

yeah, you should try it on a warlock with mantle of battle harmony an emp rift From what i understand, 15% for emp rift 6% for battle harmony, it does mean that you need your super the body shot damage should be around 60 this should allow for a semi consistent 3 tap as long as you hit 1 head

Since you have to match subclass anyway might as well use sanguine alchemy (unless you want the extra super regen). With sanguine you just need emp rift to 2b 1c for 203* damage, no need for full super and no need for a kill beforehand, also sanguine extends your rift duration every kill you get. Another great option for scouts (especially if you don't wanna lose AA due to gutshot) is the box breathing perk on either glissando (strand, 180, world drop) or hung jury (kinetic, 180, nightfall) these allow 2c 1b, it also rolls on Randy's throwing knife (kinetic, 260, crucible) and is alright but mostly as a range boost or to help counter overshields and healing.

It's been my favorite scout. Demo + Hatchling + hatchling build + artifact perks is killer and becomes a massive nuisance for enemies even at the longest of ranges

Why not Gutshot/Cascade? You can get a kill with a different weapon, like your heavy or special, and then erase someone with rapid shots to any part of their body.

I'm pretty sure you can also proc it with 3 crits, on an unrelated note trinity ghoul shoots three arrows at a time.

i have a roll of this scout that i have been using it pvp for a bit now but it does not have gut shot mine rolled with Enlightened Action and i switched to the other Origin Trait to be Nadir Focus so that as long as i am doing damage it getting buffs even more from just hitting people. also personally i think Precision Instrument is really good on it own for doing damage will increases the head shot damage but now i'll keep a look out for one with gut shot and precision along with being in strand when using it for more fun with this scout

I've got a moving target + hatchling roll, and it's an absolute workhorse in trials. Nobody expects you to be able to kill them so quickly from virtually any range. It struggles in the close range because of the zoom, but it's easy to use it when you have a shayura's or matador to fall back on.

Yes. I would suggest taking them for a spin and seeing which one plays best for you. Kill clip should allow 2c 1b (any extra damage/buff should allow 2c) and p. motion is a fantastic pairing. Precision instrument is useful for dealing with overshields and healing. Cascade point can proc off of a kill or three crits I believe, also trinity ghoul shoots three arrows. Adrenaline junkie is gonna be the highest damage increase of the bunch (33%) and should be able to 2c, great if you're able to get a grenade kill and keep chaining. Hatchling procs enlightened action if it hits someone and is great for warlocks.

I've got maybe four of these things sitting in my vault from the previous IB, and I focused more on getting that hatchling spawn than straight damage increases. Having the two main perks you talked about it is definitely good, but it's not my personal playstyle in crucible. Ultimately, it's just comparing cheeseburgers: different prep, same destination.

I called the roll as soon as I saw the weapon. Randy's can roll with Gutshot. I like it with Rampage. I've actually had decent success with Servant Leader with snapshot sights. Results in lots of h8 mail too.

Yeah this works nicely on bigger maps, on smaller maps you will encounter the typical pvp problem. PK titans with extremely overtuned SMGs. You will get shat on if you dont run fusion or shotgun

I'm glad to see talk about scouts. While I actually still played I can't think of any time I didn't have at least two on me for PvE and PvP. They've always been extremely solid, fun, and consistent with really only a few small downsides. They were my go to for flawless Trials, hitting legend, and occasionally doing solo flawless dungeons.

I'm just salty they took away Hipfire Grip + Iron Gaze, which i never managed to get. Not a good roll. But silly 'bad offbrand DMT' is something i wish i had acquired. For context, hipfire grip is obvious, but iron gaze gave it 20 aim assist at the cost of 20 range. So you'd end up with a net +35 hipfire aim assist (bringing you up to 65 from a base of 30) and tons of hipfire accuracy/stability buffs. With freehand grip, of course, for more stability.
