Who upvoted this false information? These foolish kids. KT Racing did not have access to any of the assets from the old TDU games upon securing the TDU license. All of the car models needed to be developed from scratch, and it's NOT a AAA game, so don't expect Forza Horizon level graphical fidelity.

@@Monaco377 It's the same meshes, my guy. Not from 2006 but 2011. The same funky Nissan GT-R model with wide front fenders and stretched taillights. The same 370z. The Same SLK. The Same Audi. You can literally open two KZbin tabs and compare them from TDU2.

The team definitely still have a little bit to work on with the game being always online (disappointing), performance issues and the steering wheel degrees only being like 30-40 degrees. But the demo looks really nice! Also i think people sre expecting a little bit too much as well. This is not a AAA studio, this is not the same studio that developed TDU1 and 2 and this game is 20 dollars cheaper than all other AAA racing games coming out right now. Hope the devs keep cooking before launch.

After playing the steam demo version, I summarized few serious problems, I hope you can report/tell the Test Drive Unlimited Official to fix/improve these issues before publishing the game because it is a memorable game for all of us, we all hope to have playful and enjoyable game experiences for tdusc 1. I use gtx1650 to play mid graphic quality, the graphic performance is very poor but I still experience frequently game crashes, I don’t know why 2. The frame is very low even at lowest graphic quality , the game is seem like stuck and un-fluent. 3. There is no option for buying property, club, casino which I am very disappointed because these are my favorite features from tdu2. 3. The racing experience is weird, like there are some small materials in front of the vehicle then it would automatically spin and lose control.

They need to add houses, for me this is non-negotiable. The fundamentals to TDU were Dealerships and customisable houses with their own garages. If they don’t add them then the devs have failed to capture what TDU is about.

Nowadays every game makes u destroy crowds with a Mustang before u drive anything else lol 😂 Games that did it were also Forza Horizon 3 (U can also start that game with a BMW M4, a Silvia S15, or an HSV Ute), The Crew Motorfest (If u want u can go for a BMW Z4 aka the German version of the Supra, or the Honda S2K), NFS Heat (Also optional if u want a 180SX or an old school BMW M3 but Papi's Camaro is in there for show and u can't even drive it sadly), The Crew 2 (If u want to go for the MX-5 or the Audi TTS go for one of those too), The Crew 1 (Why do all the Crew games do it as well? Oh well there are other starter cars in TC1 as well lol), and a lot of other random racing games... 🤣

I played the demo for a bit last night, and I didn`t really notice the breaking issue, so it might be car specific ( I chose the 370z), and the handling feels somewhere between horizon 5 and gran turismo, with hints of wrc. I tried the demo on an ROG ally in turbo mode with 6gb vram allocated, at 1080p and FSR set to balanced, and the game mostly sees 30-40 fps, through it dips into the high 20s in the denser areas, and can also see 50 or even 60+ fps in some areas, and there is some stuttering every so often. That being said, the game did look blurry with fsr on, but I think frame generation might have been on and making things worse, and I haven`t really messed with the driver settings enough to figure it out yet. Considering the release is 3 months from now, I assume optimisation is the main focus untill launch, and I wonder how old is the build that the demo is based on... Regardless, I`m satisfied now that the handling model is good, as Iwas hoping this would be my next go-to game for just driving around with friends, atleast untill fh6 drops

Handling model and braking took some getting used too, but it's fun to drive around the map. Optimisation is bad, hope it's get improved massively by the time it's released. At 1440p high settings i only got ~60 fps w/o FSR with a 6900xt, FSR Quality bumped it up to 80ish.

For a arcady game i realy like the handling and i dont mind the graphics, i think they look very good actually (accept the humans💀) and it needs optimization ofc but it all comes down to what there is to do in the game because for some its fun to just grind races and buy new cars and stuff but for others it gets boring realy quick. So we will have to see what they are going to do with the game when it fully comes out and what other content they will add.

My 3070 can max it out with about highs around mid 60s and the lows being around the 30 fps mark
