The rock and roll horns were actually popularized by Ronnie James Dio, he borrowed it from his Italian grandmother, which was an old Italian curse
@DrMurdercock5 жыл бұрын
Partly right. It did come from his G-ma. However, it was a "fig" sign, or a way to ward off an "evil stare" he thought it looked cool, so he started doing it. Then Gene Simmons claimed he did it first.

Good morning from Columbus!! So happy to see you are in Ohio! I just spent 15 minutes reporting all the ignorant comments (my pleasure). There IS one thing I wish to say about this video: not one mention of the Beach Boys!! I guess you are not aware of Brian Wilson and his MEGA impact on the entire world of Rock. The Mozart of our time... musical genius... and the Pet Sounds album is critically regarded ( by many) as the best Rock album ever made. Study up, Adam! Many regards, you make life better, thank WOO!!

+DaysWithJaw. You told me to go Jew somewhere else. What would make you think I'm a Jew? Is my surname too Jewish for you? For your information, I am a gentile who is a born again Christian who married a Jewish man. And the last I checked in the Bible, Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi. So how do you feel about your anti-Semitism being laid bare in the comment section. And what does being Jewish have to do with the comments I made to Toady about his lewd comments? Nothing. Also, I noticed that Toady's comments have disappeared. So it appears that they were deemed inappropriate by someone else and removed. And since you told me to go to Bill Maher's channel, I'd like to return the favor by telling you to go find another bridge to skulk under. Bye Bye, anti-Semite.

Funny story about the "Free" stamp you talk about in the beginning. It was designed by Claes Oldenburg and was originally intended to be part of the Standard Oil Ohio (Sohio) tower's plaza to complement the nearby Civil War memorial. But a British executive of BP (which took over Sohio) was offended by the stamp believing it was mocking corporate office environments, and for being "too American." So Oldenburg moved his stamp to Willard Park. But it was positioned in such a way that the "free" portion would face foward the executive offices at the (now) BP Tower, so that they would always see it.

If you haven't already been, you NEED to get to the MOPOP museum in Seattle. I was just there back in February and they have an amazing floor of personal items that belonged to the one and only Kurt Cobain. They also have a new section featuring Jim Henson items, including some Labyrinth movie props and outfits. I am really hoping to be able to get back there sometime because it is the best museum of pop culture I have ever been to. I was able to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio quite a few years ago and it really is a fun place to be. I see they still have Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Baby boots on display and I am hoping they still have his restaurant downtown, "Cooperstown." Cooperstown has both baseball and rock and roll artifacts in it and is really a fun place to go for food and to explore some rock and roll history.
